If you are talking about voice commands yes and I have not had an issue with it. If you are talking about speech to text then no.

I got into some very hot water when I texted my wife while she was at the supermarket last week. I used the speach to text on my iphone and asked her, "did you get the vanilla ice cream", the program on my phone sent her this message, "did you get the vaginal cream". A week later and I'm still in hot water.

So no, those hands free programs don't work.`

I spent 17 years with Crete. Wish I wouldn't have left.
Went to work for Marten Trans out of Mondovi WI. Was broadsided by a car. Marten could not stop my workmans comp fast enough. Been fighting with them ever since. Unable to work. In constant pain.
Broke my wrist at Crete. They wanted me to just get better not return until I was as close to 100% as I could be.

 

My interpetation of DOT regulations now is that you cannot use your cell phone under any circumstances while driving. No blue, no nothing. If caught you can lose license immediately. I hope this is right because I see too many drivers distracted using a cell phone. I have one, use it too. but only when stopped.
