The van guys don't like to hear this but Schneider's bulk drivers don't need pre-approval to take the toll roads. I've got some thoughts why this is so, but don't know for sure.

I mentioned that I can run all 48 states, I forgot to mention that I also run Canada. Was in Canada last week and found out that my GPS doesn't cover Canada except for New Brunswick. I guess I could have checked the GPS on my smartphone.

One unusual feature on the bulk trucks is the lack of a sliding 5th wheel. I guess this is because the 5th wheel takes such a beating from surge. The disadvantage is that you can't move weight off the steer axle when heavy. Schneider is trying to cure this by raising the 5th wheel with a larger than usual 5th wheel mount. This shifts weight back as the fluid flows.

Found out that the state run rest areas on rt 80 in Ohio have trucker's lounges and free showers. The showers are really nice, clean and new. Another thing I'm finding out is that the Quala washes have driver lounges and showers too. They also welcome us to stay overnight in their parking lots. The Quala in Trenton, MI is really nice and the guys that work there are very accommodating. They even put my freshly cleaned hose back on the hose rack for me!:yes2557:

Many Tank washes will have showers and break rooms. They are a good place to park when few truck stops are around.

Keasbey's tank wash is s ripoff. They lose your fittings gaskets using high pressure spray then try to charge you for them

Schneider should give you a bunch of gaskets to keep in your truck. You need them occasionally at customers if a fitting starts leaking.

Finishing up my bulk orientation this week. Keasby to be my main terminal, with Paulsboro to be my parking site.

Its also a good idea to keep a few extra ears and pins for your female fittings.
