New year, ended last month strong. First week of the year had carry over but ended with 2600 miles for week. I would of had more but had family emergency. I want to tell everyone that my Dm Phil out of Pcola is a amazing Dm. Easy to work with respectable, experienced, and real supportive. Some people said he was a hard ###. Lol if you do your job and do it well its easy. I am glad I have him.
This next week miles will be low because may is routing me back towards Michigan for a Military funeral for my grandpa. He was a veteran of ww2 in the airforce and army before trucking. He was on Normandy beach in France two days after D day. He was 87.
I haven't been posting much, I been just driving.

Ok so last week was 100 miles only and this past week was total of 2250 miles and a breakdown in Green Bay. Thanks to wonderful Ohio and Pennsylvania roads. It proves you don't need a college education to build roads in those states just a union. I feel like my.miles are back to low again when I did real.well between thanksgiving and new years. I got a load from Denver to Portland and sat Friday all day after off load then picked up sat outside Portland to deliver Monday in Boise so that's 3 days in my book wasted production for 500 miles. Back to.old bull ####. I was hoping I was past that point after thanksgiving picked up a lot. I guess I need to keep my options open, I was considering staying with if they could continue giving me.miles like the holidays. I have not technically been home since thanksgiving, I took time off in Utah for Christmas and the one day I needed for the funeral I got 5. So instead of sitting in the truck I got a hotel room cost me about 240 bucks. I can't stay in truck that long. I got service on my truck and found out batteries were bad. Hence needing to drive full day just to stay charged 6 hours. Funny how someone says let's be transparent about miles and everyone gets cold feet. My pay stubs are open for email. I have nothing to hide.

Platinum, you might do yourself well to seriously explore your options.
There are lots of trucking companies out there hiring, especially in the SE region of the country. Give it a shot, if it doesn't work out you can always go back to May. -
Scooter you were suppose to.get back to me on a contact, did.you forget?

I think I told you I couldn't reach my buddy because he changed his cell number. I tried again and if he gets back with me I'll let you know. In the interim, just do a search for trucking companies in the Atlanta that do regional routing. You're bound to come up with several

Picking.up in Ontario, or suppose to head to Atlanta but they want delivery Thu, no way I can make it.legally. guess I will lose miles and repower to someone.

This week I was able to take that same load to Atlanta, they did have to reschedule it to Sunday morning. Lucky me. I was finally able to see the restoration of the house I use to live in before it caught fire hopefully it will be done by end of the month.
I had a poor week to my standards I ended up about 1750 miles, if it was not for the tuition reimbursement I wouldn't be able to make my car payment. I got stuck like I said for 3 days in Oregon with only 500 miles. I even did a local run of about 9 miles and took about 3 hours, I got paid .31cpm. YES only .31c TOTAL!
I like May, I like the Terminal Layton, Mechanic shop, and some awesome guys like me out there in trucks. The only thing I would like to see happen is have more miles available. Other companies have plenty, run as hard as you want legally. I dont understand why we cant do the same. As many people leave here and they have a high turnover, why not give the guys willing to run what they want? It benefits the company to make money and the guy driving? I think we should be paid more if they cant give me 2500 miles a week. I had a great set of runs around the holidays, over 3k miles many weeks. I was HAPPY as I was making money. This 1750 miles and last week of 400 sucks!!!! I got bills its the end of the month. I hope they can turn it around. We lost Efron due to lack of miles, thats it, just that. What a great guy, Roll model for May or any company he chooses. Someone didn't pay attention enough to what they had. I can tell Scooter is along those same values. I am very fair, I just don't have the patience to train. There can only be one A-hole on my truck and I fill that seat just fine. I offload Sunday and going to be ready Monday to watch the big game. I dont care what team wins, just more of certain players get a ring like Mista Ochocinco.
Be Safe guys! -
Enjoy the big game and take your mind off trucking for a spell

Before you know it, you'll be double and triple stacked with preplans. January and going into February can be frustrating mos in this industry. When the highly productive mos kick in, try and set $100 a week aside into a savings acct. If you can do that, it will go a long ways in assuaging the frustration during the slow times.
Take care and keep the wheels between the white lines.Splasher1972 Thanks this. -
Platinum, my condolenses on the loss of your Grandad. We're losing our WWII vets at a high rate, and many don't care to remember their service and sacrifice.
From this veteran, I offer him a salute and my gratitude. -
My condolences also platinum. They broke the mould after the WW2 generation and no doubt.
I applied for May today. Been local for the last 20 months but my long term plans require more exp. Been reading the threads here with interest. Sorry you guys aren't getting the miles right now, hopefully that will change soon. If I am successful I'm sure I will have a ton more questions.
Stay safe
