Never heard of them but there are a lot of different strap manufactures, a strap is only as good as the rating that's printed on the tag. No tag, as in didn't come with or has faded over time, is viewed as having no load rating by dot.

Shotgun coils require straps over the top. You can't use chains as they will damage the product.

So they say. You use steel edge protectors and they'll be fine. I have a few of those, should probably pick up some more.

    SHC Thanks this.

Steel edge protectors work fine on the inside of suicide and shotgun coils not over the top of shotgun coils.

Why wouldn't they? It's the same edge.

They are rated for the same weight. However, these extreme are denser, from what I understand. Therefore, more resistant to cutting.

Shot gun coil is eye to the front, suicide soil is eye to the side. When you place straps over a shotgun coil you do not cross any edges.

This isn't true in the United States, the rating goes down to what is known as a default rating. I believe a 4" straps default rating is 4,000 lbs. In Canada, they eliminated the default rating a little ways back, so you would be correct that Canadian DOT or whatever they're called will view it as no securement device.

Uh, so you don't put chains through the middle?
