CB Channels

Still 17 for the most part. But yea avoid it at all costs. I'm not so lucky, I live in Sherman Oaks, 30 Minutes north of downtown LA.

 

Mexican border to Castaic scales= channel 19--- Castaic scales to route 46 off 99 and I5= channel 15--- route 46 off 99 and I5 to Canadian border = channel 17. channel 19 everywhere else.. Mexican guys in Cali just seem to pick random channels, but English speakers in the know adhere to the above if you want a bear report.

 

On CB (portable emergency one) in my car this morning in metro Seattle and asked for traffic info on my local freeway and got instant response ch.19

 

Channel 19 is the place to be where I travel, and it doesn't include the Left Coast.

I've gotten lots of helpful information over the years on that little channel. And, of course, mega lots of drivel from the lonely attention-seekers. And then there are the ones on a mission, like the guy I heard on the Mississippi River bridge at Baton Rouge a few weeks ago who was telling everybody that white people are born with tails, which are cut off at birth and sent somewhere to be processed into something which I didn't quite pick up.
