4300 miles! wow. If you could run like that all the time you'd really be raking in the dough. Thanks for the update baritone.

Count on 5 weeks minimum for sure. Due to hometime, any holidays, etc... I would venture to say realistically you're probably gonna see 6-7 weeks assuming you progress in a satisfactory manner.
slim shady Thanks this. -
Can anyone tell how me the hometime in the southeast. I live in orangeberg south carolina. Considering millis.
-
That area may be iffy. We don't run a lot along the 95 corridor over there. Call recruiting and see what they say. As for home time, they do a real good job getting you there as long as you give them 7 days notice.

Bear is right - all depends on the students progress. The trainer will decide it more than anyone else. Even if you are excelling - count on 5 weeks.
Hope that helps!slim shady and Everett Thank this. -
Yes Baritone that was me you were talking to last week. Looks like it may be pushing things time wise to get you as a trainer. I start Cartersville on March 5th so I would be ready for a trainer March 26th or later. So we will see!

Awww - Student tested out and passed. Spent a few hrs in Cartersville with him ensuring his truck was set up and he had what he needed to start rolling.
Left Cartersville about 6pm and headed to Cherokee, AL. Easy run for an am delivery. Got into the customer and begged and pleaded but to no avail for an MT. Sat there and waited for about 40 mins and got a load back of the customer going to Saratoga Springs, NY for Monday. Can easily have it there Saturday evening but not sure there will be a load out so taking my time rolling it up there.
I have been amazed at the "awakening" that training has given me. I guess even only being out here 2 years - you tend to take things for granted or dont stay as focused as you think you are. Having to watch every little thing - even more so when I'm in the passenger seat has really "reopened" my eyes and pushes me to keep my focus each minute of each day.
Have loved the miles and the extra pay - but sure is nice having my truck all to myself again for a few days before I get my next student.ricrey99 Thanks this. -
The sign of a good trainer is the ability to learn from the student as well as teach. A change of perspective can be quite eye opening! Students will ask questions you never thought of and will help you learn more along the way. (I'm not a trainer, for those who don't know, but I was an instructor in a former career. Same rules apply)
Boomer 1 Thanks this. -

Keep up the good work! -
Hummmmm...Baritone...think back a couple of years, sitting in class and listening to these words..........after awhile out on the road, people get complacent and start taking things for granted!!!!!!!!
