Stevens might put it on your Dac,but its minor.Dont worry about it move on.Learn from it and dont make the same mistake again. Not that you made any mistakes.Get a copy of your report in the future and if its on there, follow the procedure to get it expunged.Stevens doesnt go out of their way to put things on your dac.Regardless of what people might say.Its possible they might not put it on there because it costs them money to do so.Its minor and non dot reportable,no biggy.People that give them a problem and have major screwups get things put on their dac,i.e.,truck abandonments, major accidents etc.Minor mistake and get with the insurance dept and tell them there was no way you hit this guys truck, thats all you can do.Its not something thats going to keep you from a job, unless your applying for Wallyworld, lol.

LMAO!!! Stevens will retrain you. IE: send you up to the hill and or do a road test. That's about it. And as for their policy on paying damages, well it goes like this...... DENY DENY DENY DENY DENY....... did I mention DENY!?Shiftylots Thanks this.

Met this girl tonight..... actually wasn't a lot lizzard either. Pretty hot too, for Iowa anyway. I like the Goth chicks.
Corporal_Clegg Thanks this. -
NO. Nothing is reported to DAC/USIS until you separate from the company. then is cost Stevens $100 per person they report to DAC.
Yes it will be listed as an incident, preventable on your internal report for stevens. You will get to do a backing skills assessment next time on the yard.
Always CYA, take lots of pictures, and report it to insurance. They will settle it. And Never ever admit anything to anyone at the scene.
And since it is NOT a DOT reportable accident, it won't be on your MVR either.Shiftylots Thanks this. -
Well, I did make it to El Paso to pick up my wife, and have been enjoying my time off. I am, however, looking for another job. Stevens is a decent company, but their payroll department is horrible. I transflo'd last Monday...statement showed up Friday, and I didn't get paid until today. We can't pay bills ahead of time because we don't know if Steven's is going to pay me on time.
Also, the pay is ruining us.
I cleared $862 for the entire month of January...and that was for 9,845 miles. I have done everything right and have followed the advice of everybody. The miles were a little low, but the biggest issue was the HUGE "miscommunication" that Bonnie and I had. Luckily, I just hit a nice sized jackpot at the casino up here that will help us out of the hole.
I will be back on Wed or Thurs...whenever they can get me a load. Until then, take care. -
I dunno how you get paid, but if it goes on your fuel card its there the same day as the statement, usually by 10am. Otherwise it may be your bank? Rick and Sandy in contractor payroll are pretty good people and it reflects in the job they do. (Those 2 will do anything they can to help you out within their job parameters) Rick doesn't mind pushing trips to pay a day early if you're in a bind etc.. if I ever have questions I can call them and they answer the phone 8 out of 10 times. I called and hung up once 10 times just to see.
Good luck in any future endeavours. Wish the best for you and your fam-bam. -
Def a newb here, just jumping in to mention that i spoke with my recruiter (Wendy) today and it looks like i'll be starting class on March 5. Nervous? yeah, anxious as well.
I've been registered on this site for several weeks and reading a ton. a ton. trying to find out what company would be best for me. ( no cdl, need training and looking for company training.) it came down to Stevens and Central Ref. Both seem above average for the type of training that i will need.
There were several reasons i chose Stevensone one is living just outside of Austin, with Stevens just up the road, i'm hoping that getting home time might be a little easier on a regular basis. (at least once i'm done with classroom O1 and O2.)
The MAJOR drawback for Stevens for me would be the fact that at worse case i'll be paying back the school part for up to 3 years. OUCH.
Wendy has been pretty good at answering my questions, the only one she has not got back to me about is where i would be parking the truck but googled kenworth austin and think i found out where.
So gonna hit the DOT book, plan on having my permit before the school starts. i truly appreciate all the advice and even the horror stories that i have read. -
With direct deposit it goes in your bank 1 business day after the settlement. So if yo get a settlement on Friday it will be in the bank on Monday. If you get settlement on Wednesday it will be in the bank on Thursday.TLeaHeart Thanks this.

I transflo on the weekends. That way I get paid on Wed, deposited into my bank on thursday and if there is a monday holiday I still have money in my bank account on friday.
Flight in your approx $800 did you include your cash advances? Something is wrong if you made less than a dime a mile.Corporal_Clegg Thanks this. -
Well feb has started with a thud. My 0500 DlD at JBS came and went. It was 2pm before the load was ready. So I find the 8000 series trailer and want to thank the previous driver for dropping all these problems on me. No marker lights across top back of trailer, 2 flat tires and a loud air leak at the load leveling valve. So after airing the tires up and they held I headed for the TA in commerce city where I am now waiting for the repairs.
No way I will be in laredo thursday morning. Sent running late and was told the receiver will work me in when I get there. Bet that changes wed. I may be here the rest of the day.
When I get up for an 0500 appt I am ready for bed by 9pm. I don't care what the log book says.
