Hello, I have been thinking about purchasing the Cobra 7700. I read the question about Canada. I also go there often. If I purchase one now and yall upgrade your Canada coverage will I be able to upgrade online? Also are the ones on Ebay ok to purchase? they seem a little cheaper. thanks
-
Regarding Ebay purchases, the unit will be covered under warranty only if you buy from a retailer (not an individual) and they must provide a receipt. Ebay and Paypal receipts are not acceptable, it must be a receipt from the retailer.

The only reason I bought mine on eBay was I got it for 50.00,the update to the 7750 for 167.00, for just over 200.00 I'm happy with no warranty

since the last map update i am finding way to many false weight restrictions in the Toronto Ontario region major hwy s and roads leading into industrial areas are showing
3 t or 5 t limit warnings to many to list already told Brian of one on hwy 401 now there are more along the same hwy i drive a straight truck with a 26 ft box and is registered to carry 26000 lb gps is set up accordingly -
I was in Chicago 2 weeks ago. Leaving O'hare with things set 72ft long 53 ft trailer 13'6". Going to Nashville with and avoid the toll roads. #### thing kept freaking out telling me there was a 13'1" clearance and tried to route me off the interstate before I hit the center of town going East on I-90.
Also the road I was looking for on the edge of O'hare wouldn't come up in the 60666 zip code. I'll get that when I pull the unit out again. It told me I was 24mi. away.
I was supposed to had an update back in December when they installed the new touch screen. -
Last night went from 8388 Eastgate Blvd Mount Juliet to 225 Heiskell Ave Knoxville TN. It would not route me there because Bebe has a 3.5T weight rating on that street in Knoxville. It failed to mention the 10'3" under pass in front of me just before I turned into Penske. Then from there I wanted to go to 65 Old Brickyard Road in Fletcher NC. It wouldn't let me. 48' trailer restrictions!
I had to change to a straight truck 13'6" high to circumvent the outdated data.
This unit was updated this past December.
As for Chicago. I wanted South Access Road in 60666 zip code. This is to pick up air freight at O'hare. It wanted to take me to 2200 South Access Dr. in 60616 zip. Yet sitting at the shipper it will bring up the correct street name.
87*54'34.5"W/ 41*57'33.7"N
And she will keep trying to route me onto the bypass coming straight from Fletcher when passing through Knoxville.
Also when you go out Eastgate to get to Hwy 109 and I-40 in Mt. Juliet Bebe wants to route you to the left down a no truck road that isn't much more than a cowpath with asphalt.Last edited: Feb 23, 2012
