I ran into the same thing, Jpatt. Here's what I did. Try to get into a walk-in clinic. Explain the situation. You may be able to get a script thru them. I also suggest you get a BP monitor (check out wallyworld) and try to monitor your BP daily, this way you can actually see the results. @ my first physical, I only qualified for a 3month med card, went back after I started the bp meds and qualified for a 1yr. Just passing my exp. along. Hope it helps!

People don't sleep (or aren't supposed to) in the top bunk while the truck is in motion.

You are right there dixieswife. I am a PSD instructor . people that are in the sleeper berth while the truck is in motion are to be in the bottom bunk. there is a net there to put over the bunk for safety

correct. Any trainer that forces a trainee to sleep up there while the truck is rolling can get fired.

Now, if you park the truck... theres nothing preventing the trainer from kicking the trainee out of the comfy bottom rack to the top.

    Hey everyone.

Today was my first day of driving.

    It. was. rough.

Shifting a 10 speed is a rhythmic science. One that I cannot do well, yet. My trainer tells me - it's fine, it's your first day of driving. I don't expect you to know how to do it.

Let me tell you what has happened to a PSD student who can't shift worth a lick on his first day. First off, I stall all the time on ramps and all that. I have rolled back considerably a few times and it was nerve racking.

    Then I hit St. Louis.....at Rush Hour.....on I-64.

We literally stalled on the interstate and the Instructor jumped over and swapped with me real fast. He got me to I-70 and from there drove until Midway. Why did I stop at Midway?

    Snow. Freakin snow.

So how was my first day of actual driving? It was peachy keen. (End Sarcasm). Anyhow, I can call today a success because I didn't hurt the truck nor did I hit anyone, hurt anyone or anything. Freight is still in tact and safe.

Now, I feel sick and tired because of the adrenaline of today. I'm calling it a night and we'll hit the road in the morning.

Ok. So today has started off well. (No sarcasm)

I got the truck underneath the trailer (with the guidance of my trainer, of course).

It was rough - but I did it. I hold today as an accomplishment.
