Im gonna stay with this guy till he takes his hometime on the 15th, and make the call then as to whiter or not I want to ask for a different one, hes not a bad guy, but im not sure if hes the right kind of guy for me to learn from, Im not whining about him or anything, just I want to know what im doing when im done and if i cant learn with him, then ill need someone else..if i can learn then i can deal with the short temper and all the rest.

the one thing that does concern me is the fact that he told me he didnt want to mentor anymore, and that they had been bugging him for weeks about taking a student and he took me to shut them up, and he only took me after his dm or whatever told him i wasnt a moron, cause he said his last 5 students had all been idiots..he doesnt speak very highly of his past students thats for sure.

I have heard several mentors talk bad about students. I think when I was sitting in Lancaster they did not know I was a student. Problem is I heard the students talk bad about them also.

The mentors that talked good about there students, the students also said good things about the mentor.

I may not be the brightest, but there may be something here....

The plain unfortunate fact is to many mentors are simply doing it for the money ... not the reason to be a mentor, one should be doing it because one wants to teach.

Passive aggressive ppl I can't deal with. WHY would he say that to YOU. That's between him and swift. You didn't choose him. Swift chose and he agreed, sooo why is he being unprofessional. If he doesn't want to mentor then he should just STOP. Just do what I am about to do, get whatever education u can from him.if and when u can't take it or aren't getting what u need then u do what u have to do. I am beginning to think that this is all a test of our patience and character. the trainer guy told us that when we first got on his truck..."I am tired of going to alabama" is what he said. Soooo....my experience is that when a person is doing something they don't wanna do ......they suck at it! Have a GREAT day.

Dang. Sorry it's going that way for you. Have you talked to your DSC before taking on the expense of renting a car? Might be able to get you another mentor right out of Houston.

Thanks Injun, yes I talked to him, and he could have done so, but i requested a few days off to go home and go to the dentist, and get my head back in the game..and pick up my inverter for the new mentors truck..he said I could ride up with someone as well, but at this point Im ok with paying for it, I just want to get back quickly, I have to say im pressed though, he didnt fool around as soon as I said I had a problem, he was right on the ball..Im really hoping for someone that has respect for others this time..and who is at least simi sociable..and doesnt scream..

    Injun Thanks this.

Before you give it up get in touch w Bluebonn. I just soloed off his truck and it was a great experience. Gold Miner is on his truck now. Hang in there. Just finished my first solo run and I'm having an awesome time.
