There's dumb kids and dumb older people that work at any trucking company, not just here.
-
i was on a load dispatch on it then the load got postpone for to day i was on load to pick up then they took load away fromme that was paying 8000.00 and said they reran load did not tell me gave it to some one else said if i did not like it i could leave that was Tim Comstock i sat at location to pick up load 3 days and cordinator told me load cancel instead of telling me truth the agent was on site and i ask him and he told me they took all load out of his hand so in other words they gave loads to there pet
-
Wow, just doesn't sound like all there is to the story. So many times it's a big commucation problem. I'd be very curious to know the rest of the story as I can't imagine just to give a load to their pet driver.
I hope I'm not open a big can of worms. -
Hi. Who are you leased onto?
U can pm or respond here. Thanx. -
I'll buy the accusations. I just started with them and the Atlanta George agent just cheated me out of $50. Not much but, it's my and not theirs.
-
vl580, who have you talked to about the 50 dollars, have you discussed this with the agent or anyone in louisville?
and if ya just started , dont be so quick to lash out, you first got to learn the system etc.
and as far as deputy881, his experience with the trailer lease is far different than mine or others i have know lease trailers from mercer. when i leased i got the pick of the trailers and i picked a used one.
i for the life of me cant figure out how its a rip off, you can get a trl with with no money down and payments for a flat are 524 a month ins , escrow and all. 200 more or so for a step.
the trl has a warranty on structure.
and slowtruck1, did you make it very clear you were staying on load, and you do realize that the final dispatch on a load is done by the agent dont you?? if this agent told you he had no control he was full of it.
where did this happen at? and in my year at mercer i have never saw a driver who talked to anyone who got told he could take it or leave it, IF you talked to them in a sane manner.\
go in ranting and raving and you get nowhere. same as anywhere else in life.
a lot of guys come to mercer behind the 8 ball financially and looking for a quick fix, they take the first high revenue load no matter where it going or how many miles, then they get there and no reloads, no money to deadhead, and then they leave before they ever gave themselves a chance.
happens every day all over the country with many companies and it is always the companies fault.1958Pete and Oscar the KW Thank this. -
I've been here approx. 4 months and quite pleased. Still don't care for my coordinator but getting good loads and not much sitting. I tend to stay away from bad areas like Fl. and CA. and even texas, thought texas is more our favorite area before coming here.
Now in Norfolk,Va. We'll see how the area treats me. Last time, I got a good oversize out of here. Still haven't gotten paid for my oversize tolls but hey if $24 is all they are gona cheat me out of, I'm not complaining. The fuel discounts clearly out weigh that.
I think different compaines fit different drivers-contractors. Mercer isn't for everyone, but it's currently fitting me well. -
I was with mercer for 4 years and just left not because of them but because my new wife asked me to try and be home more often as I was usually out 5 to 6 weeks at a time. Now I have my own trailer and both units are paid for(have been for 10 years or so)I have been around the block with trucking companies and Mercer is by far the best I have found.Every now and then an agent will pull a fast one on you but it is rare. I think the agents can look at your profile and decide if yhey want you on a certain load or not. Nobody ever said that but I think they can so if you have had problems before that may play a part in it. By the way I made a lot more profit
-
Mercer is still treating me well, and I did finally get me paid on those tolls for the oversize load.
and the party they put on for us drivers at the MATS truck show was fantastic accomadations. Can hardly wait for next years show.
One good paying load after another. Though I do have to throw a tarp here and there.
