Opinions on Mexican truck drivers being allowed in US?

I DON'T think ANYONE has ever stated that having Mexican Nationals involved in Cross-Border trucking will benefit American drivers. I certinly never said it. I NEVER called you a hillbilly because I don't know if you live on a hill, in a hollar or on the flatlands. And I NEVER called you a racist either.

I made my money one day when I was out hunting up some grub and shootin at a rabbit and up bubbled some black gold, oh wait a minutes that was an episode of Beverly Hillbillies. For some reason it felt like that's what happened to me. Oh no mine was from network marketing, but not far off LOL, yes and I still draw residuals 10 years later. Yes I got several thousand other hillbillies to follow my lead and make me a bunch of money and guess what several of them have made a million dollars from what I taught them with my bad grammar......... I could go back and do it again but I really want to drive a big truck and become a Super Trucker! Or work in the Trucking Industry, maybe start a truck wash!

1st of all, picking on a poster's spelling is nothing but 'cheap shots!'

But if you can honestly say, Ronno, that bringing the Mex truckers in to just run back & forth freight across the border, ONLY (Canucks dont even do that), and that it is a level playing field (!), then I would look for help in your area.

I guess one of the 'traits' of Capitalism, is that it has nothing to do with 'fairness,' just $$$$!!! Again, why we have unions as distasteful as they are!!

 

I don't know what I have said is so hard to understand, particularly when my whole involvement in this discussion was to say that: there is a difference between "illegal aliens" and "Mexican Nationals employed by Mexican Carriers" working in Cross-Border freight hauling. I believe that there have been more enough outright LIES spread by the likes of Bill Mack and those folks at OOIDA.
I NEVER ONCE EVER stated I was "for" Mexican Truckers hauling here in the US, neither have I stated I was AGAINST IT. Because I believe there is a whole bunch of hysteria being perpetrated by both sides, and I am taking a "wait-and-see" stance. So when it turns out bad, I can say I was against it all along....just like a politician. LOL

 

I agree, and when one must resort to picking apart spelling and grammar to prove a point; the debate is lost already.

 

I was simply showing that those that insist the Mexican truckers needed to be able to communicate in English were not doing a very job of it themselves. I did not threaten to have my sister and her Masters Degree do my work for me.

Twice in your own argument you admit that Mexican trucks will take loads from American Driver "They will enter this country under load, and return under load" thus taking loads from American Drivers "It probably would mean a partial slowdown in freight originating at southern border cities like Laredo" Again you prove my point exactly.

Personally I love the old, It will save Americans Money give me a break there is NO way any of you believe big companies are going to pass the shipping savings on to the American people. I bet the price of Chrysler cars drop by 10% next year because the car hoods and trunk lids they make in Mexico get here cheaper, YEAH RIGHT! LETS ALL WAIT AND SEE!

I think we all understood the ideas expressed about Mexican Truck drivers crystal clear. Since you are the only one having trouble understanding simple logical statements, it may be a good thing you have quit this thread.

GW Bush's illegal Executive privilage to spy on citizens and bypass the 4th Amendment was ruled illegal yesterday. This like the mexican truck driving scam is just the tip of the iceburg of illegal laws passed, many not through Congress, but on the sketch pad of GW Bush. All will be repealed in time, but there are so many passed through the most corrupt Administrative, Judicial, Senate, and House of Representatives in the history of the USA.

It is unbelievable that the Dems have done so little in response. The American people have had enough of this BS though, and are finally ready to fight for their rights. Since the Repubes have supported Hillary, that will be little change if Dems get elected like Nancy in the House of Representatives: easy pay offs since they are just happy to be the first of their gender (although Women are by far the most logical gender 'predominantly'). Hillary just shakes her head yes and acts like she's got experience from failure without results: sounds like a loser to me. If she can say 3 coherent sentences in a row, it will be the first I've heard from her yet.

I'd suggest the Aztecs immigrate the legal way and be welcomed by the American people rather than cutting their throats with Gov't handouts, eliminate their jobs, and expect them to pay taxes for illegal aliens being dispersed throughout the country on empty van loads. My best friend is an immigrant from South America(!): an Engineer and a valuable contribution to our society.

This is one of many acts of Treason on the American people by this Administration, so don't think Citizens will take it lightly for too long after they figure out what has been going on.
