Packing List for Students

not all check covenant website,its good to take at least $300.00 min.just in case,never know what happens next,be prepared ☺•☻.

 

Just take what you need and no more. Nothing worse than watching some guy lugging around 5 suitcases and 4 boxes of stuff.

 

Oh yeah I saw one kid walk into swift with enough junk for a year. His trainer asked him where he lived and took a bunch of his stuff home for him. It was crazy what he brought! TV Radio CD player laptop like 5 blankets it was just nuts.

 

I did the trainer thing a few years back. Had a guy show up with a matching 5 piece luggage set on wheels. I guess he thought he was goin on a cruise

I'll be out of CDL school in 2 weeks with all Washington State endorsements up to passenger. Schools been great and the instructors the best.

Been trying to get a feel for prospective employers. I've got mixed feelings about the notes posted throughout this site. Seems like there's a lot of negatives. And an almost equal number of positive comments about specific companies. Thus far I've sent electronic apps into 3 companies avoiding the largest ones. These three were recommended by the employment counselor at school. Heard back from one already requesting additional info due to a 5 year gap of employment. Yep, thought I'd take a short retirement- help with the kids and do some volunteer work, after 23 years with the previous.

With my youngest off to college I'm looking forward to driving the lower 48. Don't really have a terminal/region/state preference. But the SE and Eastern Seaboard would be nice to see again. Maybe play some golf on 34hr reset.

Thanks for the insight into what to pack and what to leave behind.
