Well, still on the yard. Leaving at 8pm tonight.
Look for the guy with the big mustache, Red Stevens shirt with the MPG button on the collar.
9346, parked with trailer next to lounge.

That was on display when I was there early January. They told us to walk by and read the words during a break, just so we could get an up-close-and-personal understanding of what can happen when combining speed and weather and inexperience and....well, whatever.

One more week in CDL school and I'm still not much closer to a decision on which company to work for. Darn you, Stevens medical staff! :biggrin_25516:

Start CDL School Monday, GI bill is a blessing. Looking forward to it. Leaving turning wrenches behind. Already have a pre hire from Stevens and passed my AZ DOT Physical. I've Been reading alot on this Forum. Stevens looks like a great company to start with if I can get through the process..

Anybody else out there get taken to the cleaners on a lease turn-in??? If so, did you protest it and ask for a re-evalution?? Turned in a truck recently and they managed to eat up almost the entire maintenance account. After talking with JM and get a 'somwhat' detailed list of charges, moving on up the ladder because several items that were charged for are in direct violation of the terms of the lease.

BTW, Flightwatch, did you ever get your insurance settlement from the 'incident' with CRST??

Standard operating procedure when you turn in a lease truck. You will be charged for all repairs to any item on the truck. Pealing paint you will pay for the new paint.

You may attempt arbatration but the lease is written to protect stevens/paragon. What do you think is in direct violation?

Not yet. Emily supposedly sent it 2 weeks ago...it takes 2 days to get mail from Dallas to my house. Then she supposedly sent it out last Thursday. We thought we got it yesterday, but it turned out to be an invoice from when I got the tires rotated. I asked them about it this morning, and they were stumbling around talking about doing a stop payment on the check like it got "lost" in the mail.

What really happened is that Ms. 21 year old Emily is more worried about texting, smoking cigarettes, and acting like she's the best thing since sliced bread than doing her job. I'm sure that she forgot to mail it out and is trying to cover her ###.

They are only giving me $900.00 anyways. My business manager put me as being down for 17 days, but insurance is only giving me 6 days pay. I guarantee you that they charged CRST for 17, and then skimmed the 11 days before giving me the rest...not to mention all of the rest of the money that they got for the truck itself. When I informed the insurance department of my intent to pursue CRST for the remainder of the money owed to me, they sounded very nervous about me doing that.

Emu: Sorry I missed you. I was extremely busy, and my wife was in town to boot.

TLea: I'm still here...sitting by the maintenance bays waiting for my cruise to finally be turned on.

Oh, I know they protect themselves at every turn. Rather not get into the details on here since the walls have eyes and ears, LOL. It appears that th main criteria for how much your turn-in costs is how much you have in the account.

Its amazing that the repairs always equal to near or slightly more than the maintenance account and performance bond. Its even more suspicious that Archie Roberts can write a driver credit to reduce the amount owed even though he's never seen the truck. Its another cost of your business partnership. I think its garbage and more than a coincidence that it happens to 99% of drivers on alliance.

People sign contracts all the time without reading and understanding them. There's nobody to blame but the signer. Nobody.
