I bought a truckerfridge about 2 months ago and it is great... costly, but if it last 2 years, I will be happy.

How is your coleman cooler done? Unless the peltier (cooling element) went bad the only other parts that can go out are a fan or plug and both are easily and cheaply replaced.

SheepDog when you say real fridge you mean it cools below 20 degrees ambient temp like the Coleman and most of the other fridges sold at truck stops. Shoot never mind just looked at the link for the website.

If your company will allow you....Put a 1500 watt, or higher, inverter in the truck and buy a apartment size refrigerator from a appliance store. The one I have actually has a separate freezer compartment and keeps thing cold or frozen just like your Fridge at home.

I used a Colman cooler for 18 yrs, got tired of food going bad after a week...

I just bought a used truckfridge (T65), they use a 12v compressor and installed it a couple weeks ago. On setting 4 (1-9) it keeps my food at 38 degs. So far I've had a frozen steak in the tiny freezer compartment for a week and its still frozen. Sunday I put ice cream in there and its still frozen. I decided to turn it down to 5 and that darn thing killed my veggies, froze them... sigh

I recommend it if you want a real fridge and not want to have to deal with a cooler.
