finding myself between jobs in the driving industry I decided to check craigslist to find employment.
To my surprise there were some awesome dedicated routes listed with unbelievable pay....yea.....too good to be true..
J.B HUNT SPAMMING.....
THE ROUTES DID NOT EXIST..AND ALL THE PHONE NUMBERS WERE FOR J.BHUNT..
I HAD TO ASK THE RECRUITERS 3 TIMES EACH BEFORE THEY WOULD ADMITT THAT THEY WERE.....J.B HUNT.
HOW COULD SOMEONE WORK FOR A COMPANY THAT THEY WERE SO ASHAMED OF...THEY COULD NOT SAY THEIR NAME WITH PRIDE.
YEA..I AM STILL LOOKING FOR A JOB![]()

HappyDriver, I am so sorry to hear your troubles. YES, JB Hunt is a sinking ship. Yes, they DO spam us all the time. JB Hunt is a horrible company and we have THOUSANDS of people who will tell you the same. How can a company this large do stuff like this? Because they can. They care LESS about drivers...they better hope the Mexicans flood the borders or the Government can't save them yet again this time.
-
Yeah, the old bait-and-switch again. That must be JB's all time favorite lie.
-
It's their all-time favorite lie because the bait-and-switch works. Has worked for years. WILL work for years to come, too.
-
Try highlighting under the add in the blank space......
-
They do the same thing on the phone.... "we have a GREAT position in your area that we need to fill ASAP and we want you. You will be home and blah, blah, blah...." ok, who do you work for and who are you recruiting for? "....cough, cough, um JB Hunt (they HATE to say it)."

JB Hunt posted a 220M profit last year, I don't think they'll be leaving anytime soon. Not with Wal-Mart and JB Headquartered so close and Arkansas created.
-
anytime I see an add that doesn't say who it is I just assume it's JB.
Just a tip here. I got onto JB's recruiter list once and they called my house at LEAST three times a day. I had to change my number to get them to stop calling. I then got mail from them at least once a week untill I moved. -
I've never had a problem admitting who I work for. And I don't know how long those ads have been up.
perry's right, Despite J.B. Hunt's passing away, the company is still going fairly strong.
This is what I do when they ask:
Driver: "Who do you work for?"
me: "I'm calling on the behalf of J.B. Hunt Transport."
I swear you could grab at a random response that I get when I say that. It runs the gamut from "JB? Oh! I'm already scheduled for an orientation for you guys!" to "JB? You ******* couldn't do anything right if it was right up your *** with your head! *slam!*" -
You forgot the best line of all:
"Hey, I already worked for you guys three times in the past."
I wonder how many CDL holders have worked for SwiftQuit and JobHunt before? It's gotta be at least 25%. I worked for SwiftQuit once, which was one time too many. I'll never work for JobHunt until after the world ends.
