1.25 being CRST Broker and 2.03 being Landstar Broker That's an easy best guess one, Landstar brokers are moving 20 loads for every 1 CRST broker load So there not taking as big of a cut on each load.

i heard landstar is the best company to go owner operator for. And they said I would be getting a 2009 truck for the malone LP. I would want a brand new truck, not one that might already have 300,000 miles on it.
In a LP agreement, are you paying for any repairs, or does the company? -
The older trucks are actually better than newer ones. The newer trucks have alot of 'unproven' emissions equipment on them that often fail earlier and more often than expected. Also, 300,000 miles is not that many miles considering a properly maintained engine could deliver 1,500,000 miles or more.
My guess is the LP truck they give you would probably have between 600k and 700k miles on it. -
The company pays for repairs but you pay into it. I think it's .12/mi and it works more like a warranty than a maint fund.

My friend is a L/O with Malone and is running all the time and never goes to any other boards. He is very happy with them. -
You need to learn more about the trucking business and business in general. You're questions are based on nothing in reality.
To all wannabees, just because you can steer a late model truck doesn't mean self -employment is up your alley.Professional-Trucker, Mommas_money_maker and Irondog Thank this. -
I made 160 bucks hauling scrap metal in my pick-up last weekend. i might just try and do that. 5-10 loads a week would give me $500 to $1,000 a week. I would just drive around the city on trash nights.

Hi All,
For starters, Crst Malone... IS NOT A COMPANY for company minded steering wheel holders ! ! ! that all they want is someone to tell them where to load and where to deliver...
As for as the Crst Malone and Landstar load boards... what both companies will do , is post all the loads that their O/O will not take , or overages..
To Succeed in any business, YOU HAVE TO HAVE A BRAIN and BE ABLE TO USE IT ! ! !
I am a OWNER OPERATOR, I worked with Crst from 2004 to 2009...I averaged between 190K to 204K each year.. I've got the W-9's to prove it.. I took 3 years off the road.. Jan, 2012 I bought a 52K Doonan Low stepdeck Trailer.. Called Crst and leased right back on with them...From Jan.22,12 to today ( Feb.13,12.... The revenue paid to the Truck is
$ 12,108.48 ) and i just got thru booking my next 2 loads that pays to the truck $ 7,380.00... So Do THE MATH PLEASE....That Equals $ 19,488.48 of revenue, Paid to the Truck ! ! ( In A Slow Month )
I do not and will not book any freight off of the Crst and Landstar load board.... Period, I do haul Crst Malone's Agents Loads and if they don't have anything that i like, I get on Transcore load board and book my own freight....
I've heard enough about Crst Malone ( Sucks ).... If you're not intelligent enough and responsible enough to take control of your own business and your Life .... then you perhaps need to never buy a truck period and just be a company driver for someone else....Or go to work at some fast food joint ! !

Crst Malone is all o/o. How does the"company" suck? All they do is post loads.
again, they are owner operators which means that whoever owns the truck
-
Harold, Can you clarify you don't book freight off of Crst load board but haul Crst Malone Agents Loads. Are you calling and check loads not yet posted or are the Malone Agents posting freight on other boards, Thanks
