I'm only carrying 2 steel tarps. A 16x24 and a 16x28, and I figure if the load pays enough then I will just have to go get some that are bigger. Until then, I'll have to keep it to smaller things or stuff that does not require tarps. And honestly I plan on only moving loads of machinery if I can. Should not be too hard to do where I live, but who knows

Just threw two of those away this past Saturday. They're great at first, but they will tear on sharp corners. They tend to billow more than vinyl so you have to try and keep them really tight to the deck. Hence doing that too often tears the drings out. Vitually impractical to repair without sewing the patch on. I found a product called Seamgrip that worked better than others as a glue, but peices would still pull up eventually. I also bought their smoke and utility tarps which are great. I still carry one kordura for junk machinery. It looks like a sail on a pirate ship. I just put plastic over the machine and use the kordura to keep the plastic on. I've lost most of the drings on one side so I just nail it down to the deck. Probably has one more use left in it then off to the dump. We've replaced those with the heavy vinyl from Harps Tarps. They do make a 3 peice set for a step deck. Think it's around $1100 for the set. You can go on their website and put in your trailer measurements and they'll email you a quote back, no pressure. If you're dead set on buying the kordura just make sure you pad and protect better then you ever would with a vinyl since the repair is so difficult. One last note...I did find a tape that would stick to the kordura for temporary repairs, it's a clear tape going by the name "Tear-Aid". Very pricey but seemed to work well until you could lay the trap out and spend a day or so patching.
