    Just got my truck back from Freightliner and last 1000 miles averaged 5.5 mpg, down from 6.3. I'll try the little white bottles for a few thousand miles and see what happens.

    I have been using FPPF for decades. I have never had an injector problem or problems with fuel gelling.

    Saw a trucker who was starting his monday off on the wrong foot in a big way! He literally dropped his trailer on the highway just past the eastbound scales near Ft Smith,Ar. A very good example of what not to do lol poor guy. Thats why I always give a tug on trailer while trailer brakes are set even if I looked at the jaws to be sure they were closed. Sometimes they close but still arent locking.

    Kinda slow around the Fort today. Not many trucks or much hurry in the loaders.

    Dontchya just hate when you get a good run and you start deadheading to it and the CSR crushes your joy by tellin you the load cancelled! Man I hate that! Now Im on a load with fewer miles that pays $450 less and dont load til tomorrow. Sigh,oh well at least it dont happen often. The cancelling part that is :)

    FLEET MESSAGE:

    Starting 02/06 maintenance will begin doing two inspections programs.

    1. Cleanliness Inspection
    When a company truck comes into a Maverick shop the truck will be inspected for cleanliness. If any issues are found it will be reported to the appropriate fleet manager to address with the driver. Any issues that are found will need to be corrected ASAP

    2. Equipment Checks
    The NLR, Laurinburg, Madison and Gary shops will be doing random equipment checks each day on truck/trailers in the shop or on the yard. These are being done to address any overage, shortage or damaged equipment. Any issues found will be addressed by the shop and corrected before the driver leaves the yard. Please work with the shop to make sure everyone has the correct Maverick issued equipment. Any questions please get with your fleet manager. Thanks. Operations/Maintenance

    OK, this was rather ironic, this message came out while I was in the Gary, IN yard doing a repower. The yard as most of you know is gravel and mud. This day it was mostly mud. Just driving around the building loads the tires up with mud that will be deposited on the back of your cab as soon as you leave the yard. I also managed to get my floor full of that gravel mud. And then I get this message about keeping my truck clean!

    What is the cleanliness standard? If my mother were doing the inspections everyone would fail. Also, how clean can you keep your truck when you can only have it washed every 30 days?

    Well as an IC I obviously dont fall under this but Im sure this refers to those "nasty" drivers. We've all seen one of those trucks or gotten issued one that smelled like something died. Most drivers most likely wont be affected but on the equipment issue there will be plenty of wailing and gnashing of teeth. Last time they done spot checks you would have thought the world was ending lol. Many a piece tarp was comfiscated that time.

    Lol! Ive heard that before. There was a lot of tears the day they went thru all the trucks at fort smith. They confiscated ALL extra equipment and ALL piece tarps. Man the tempers were flarin that day lol. Thats the nice thing about bein IC that I can have all the equipment I want :p

    Wondering what is a piece tarp? Also on the Cascadias, where does the exhaust pipe come out? Is it underneath? I can't tell from the few pics I'v seen. Also I live 30 min from I55 and 10 min from state hiway 60 in SE Missouri. I assume that is a good freight lane location. Am I right? Thanks
