I heard that! I knew this country was in the sheeter when the last port I was in I had my truck searched by an armed 350 pound black hefffer woman who was checking me for arms. I'm like REALLY? 40 plus years as a law abiding tax paying citizen, honorably discharged after serving my country, and I'm the one who is "suspect". Reaaaaaaaly?

Lmao at the guy who made dirty pants security walk beside the truck! Hahahat

My dad got separated from his guard once.
It was a nuclear facility where you would undress then get dressed in white cover alls they supplied.
You would then drive your truck on to a big moving platform.
You would then meet up with it after going through a check point that would scan you while your truck was being searched I presume.
They didn't tell you what they did with the truck.
I'm not sure how it happened but my dad and his guard got separated while descending in single man lifts that dropped them on different floors.
He said he was walking up and down deserted passages trying to find someone.
When they finally found him they were on the point of shut down.
30 min of interrogation later they let him complete his delivery.

This guy was a serious neat freak!

He had a scrubbing brush bolted to his cab step long b/4 they sold them in truckstops.

If it was nice he would wash his truck every night b/4 leaving for home.

Back when I still smoked, I was with him & stuck in traffic. I had to climb out and walk alongside to have a smoke!

You could see that his truck was super clean & I'm sure he would have retuned the load if they insisted he have the dirty guy ride IN his truck...

I believe that just about all the places where a driver needs a clearance to get in to unload or load, his or her clearance level is only at confidential and always requires an escort. That's the way it was at all the places I was stationed. After I got out I did notice that we had a diesel load that would go up into the Nevada Test Site then off at the north end and turn to the right. I asked the driver where's the station out there and all he did was laugh. We all knew and the chow was great too.

My wife & I used to go to a place that wasn't there, and enjoy an overnight stay. When we left, we went to another place that wasn't there. Ate great, enjoyed a nice room, & got paid. Wish we were not there again. :biggrin_25519:

Most places and most drivers all you need is confidential but I assure you that there are things that require secret. Here;s a link to driver qualifications from TSMT and just know there are other companies like them.

I've loaded plenty of TSMT and non of them have been higher than a Conf. level clearance. You could be right because I only worked the places people knew about but just didn't know what we did. I do know that the civilian side doesn't not use C.S, or TS level of clearances. A Q level I believe is equal to a secret. But who knows!
