The New FFE Driver Academey

So do we!! We r excited!!

 

Yikes! I'm not sure what to say about that. I guess the lesson here is to stick it out for the full year. Sometimes that's not possible, so save your money while you're out there just in case. Is there anything you can do Playmaker? Is the terms for repayment in the contract you sign with FFE?

 

I imagine since the cheapest labor comes from new students, they have no interest in retaining solo company drivers which they have to give a Per mile raise too, Which means the Training portion is more about getting cheap team driving.....So you just keep a clean record and go elsewhere when the time comes......I bet they get a good chunk of change from charging early terminations for CDL training considering it was already paid by the fed....All in all you have to understand that its a Corporation.....Its all about the bottom line.

 

Im about to go thru the same thing with them Playmaker. They basically did the old bait and switch on me and expected me to be ok with it. I decided to go with pepsi as a local driver. im home every night and dont have to worry about staying gone all the time to make a paycheck. Im not knocking FFE as a company at all. the training was great but its just not a good fit for me at this point in time.

 

Well Today was Amie's first day of FFE CDL School. Here is what she had to say about it.

Class started at 7a - started with 29 people. Went through the general company info, what's expected of you etc.. Then headed straight to go get Physical.. They brought a DR and Nurse on the facility, so didn't have to travel. By the time it was completed, down to 28 people! (Yes, one guy quit..) It took a good bit of time for everyone's physicals.. When FINALLY completed, more paperwork, more paperwork, more paperwork.. Finally went over the 200+ question quiz she was given Sunday night when we arrived at the hotel and then was released.. Now she is doing another 200+ question homework assignement.

I begin my refresher on Thursday and will be sure to post any and all updates then..

I know several people in your position. Not only do they not prorate it they send it to collections who then hit their credit for a $8k bill and ffe hit their Dac with the same. Oh and one of those guys was a refresher not a full student.

 

So how much of a financial hit do you take if you go through the academy but fail to get your cdl? Just a what if....

 

Is playmaker still happy and living it up at ffe?
