I read in another thread hubby might have found a trainer. I hope it works out for you guys.

 

Just had dinner with a group of classmates. Great dinner, great conversation and Quest4Adv...NICE car! Thanks again for driving. Good luck the rest of the way.

 

Day 2 of orientation is in the books. As I sit here in the laundry room I am reflecting on a roughly organized day and a thread a now former driver started that may have an impact on my future.

The overall orientation wasn't bad but seemed poorly managed. Not once but twice a whole group us were left without any leadership. After the sexual harassment course Matt said he'd be back and we would move onto benefits. He never returned. Eventually,we were stuffed back into the main classroom but now we'd all lost out seats and it was standing room only.


After lunch we had some good sessions then a break. We were supposed to do a safety session and the slogs guy said he'd get the next presenter. 30 mins passed and no one showed. I went to the offices and it was locked tight. I went to the front desk to see if we could get some help. Someone finally rushed saying he forget us. He showed us a stupid movie on safety then a slightly better one that dated itself by mentioning VCRs and a 75mph. Speed limit.


The kicker was rushing over to get to the TWIC card only to find out they cant process the app with a temp license. The office turned away several of us for the same reason.


I haven't lost any faith after today but expected more polish for something that gets done as often as they do.


On a sadder note was watching 3 guys get called out and never come back.


We'll see what tomorrow brings.

 

There were a few upgrade folks there.
I guess I am getting a little more excited and perhaps a little nervous as the 'put up or shut up' day approaches.
