I had a similar problem a few years ago (just before I went to work on the Gulf Coast after the Hurricanes). A recruiter from Toledo called my house at least once a day for WEEKS. Even though I kept saying NO, they persisted....or should I say HE persisted in calling every day. It finally stopped when I had a local GRPD at my house and HE called the Corporate Office telling them that if their recruiter did not stop, a criminal complaint would be issued.
I think they got the message that time. -
I tell you what--with all you guys posting complaints about being bugged with calls from JobHunt, I know that simply asking them nicely to quit pestering me won't work. So...if I am ever called by a Jobby recruiter, I will just go ahead and file the criminal complaint after the first call and be done with it. That is the only thing that works, apparently, besides changing phone numbers.
Blog and learn. -
Oh I agree with that, but I've never worked for them, so I don't complain. Their Advertised pay scale is the highest for drivers with 3 months exp. Is anyone else that close? -
I do believe thats a sham my friend.
-
Agreed!
.40 a mile, and home almost every night?
Pull the other one, it's got bells on it. -
Actually.........Nah. If I mention that, it'll come out sounding like i'm advertising a position for JBHT on here. -
LOL. Anyone else think No One ever calls Tip offering work?
-
Stretch the noodle here a bit, Perry_411. Maybe there are good reasons I don't get called. Maybe one reason is the fact I don't have a CDL anymore. I've not driven 18 rims since early 2003. Also, I've not as much as applied at a trucking company since about February 2002. These may have something do with the fact I don't get called. Maybe.
If these are not the reasons, I'm sure it's because I don't have a phone in the USA these days. Never assume anyone who posts here lives in the 50 states.
Let's see...no CDL, no phone, and not living in the USA. Think these are good reasons I don't get pestered by trucking companies? You better believe no one is calling me offering work. And it's gonna stay that way, too, bud. -
$0.40 a mile doesn't mean much if you don't get the miles.
