4.8 mpg killing me

    I would get 5.9 @ best when hauling 22k load. :/
    delete egr maybe you will get 6mpG if lucky.

    Really thinking its combo of things wiring issues and fuel truck shakes at idle sometimes then okay, I checked the grounds they are okay. Does anyone have diagrams of ecm plugins saying what goes where. Its addec 5. So i check wiring. Tnks. Good thing is i got the kw back out of shop and can start saving money on fuel mpg alone detroit was costing me 600 bucks a week extra in fuel. and the kw repair was when someone put tranny back in wrong and somehow pinched input shaft. The bearing was trashed and ruined the bearing cover. lost 19 pints oil good thing it didnt burn tranny up and no all they would cover was parts clutch install kit and a clutch brake i was pissed no longer doing anything with them when i have to pay twice for there screwups.

    poor injector atomization will cause a shake at idle and poor economy but still run ok .did you have the inj, tested when they were out ?what is the % load at hot idle .i have deleted egr on approx 50 units now and can get into the 7 mpg canadian,with them

    after reading your post again you say it sounds different at times does the boost change also and does the pyro go down when it pulls good?if so it is in your programming and may need to be changed or reprogrammed
    inj wire harness had trouble in the early ones with the pins on the inj arcing to the harness terminal from poor tension on female pin.but should have been replaced years ago.

    They tested injectors when put in new injector cups but who knows had that done at freightliner dealer said there was a bad one and replaced it. But it took them 3 hours to get it to stay running and i had to help them air in return line. Instilled alot of confindence in them after that. Its makes more of a cackling or knocking sounds when acting up. Then acts doggy alot of turbo lag really got to wind it up then wont pull at all below 1400 rpm then when it comes out of it will pull good even down to 1150 amd wont give up. Pyro runs about 950 on long hard pulls. Ifi got 7 out of this u probally have to put paddles to me to bring back to life lol drive 61 to 65 max it gets ssme mpg driving fast or slow loaded or empty
