I will agree with the truckist that a lot of the yahoos in south Florida are just down right criminal. It never ceases to amaze me what they will call and ask. " Hey your in Texas right? ( I say yes) "hey I have a car in Maine can you bring it to Houston?" My reply " well I just told you I'm in Texas and besides you never asked if I run up there" Broker "Well we need it picked up in two days or we have to pay a storage fee!" My reply " OK " Broker " Well I just can't see why we can not get it moved .....its just a Chevy 3500 dually with 35 inch tires and we have it at. .25 a mile? "

I think in Florida just like the "pain management" clinics MANY (NOT ALL) of the auto transport brokers are just operating within a loop hole of the law or beyond it.

Moral of the story Auto Transport Companies in the 305 & for sure 954 area codes are mostly a joke! These guys will say and promise anything to their customers and put it all on the car haulers!

 

It's not jsut Florida, it's everywhere, I had a company send me an email on an enclosed car from NY to CA, 2675 miles paying $1200. I sent him an email and told him $.44 a miles was a DISGRACE.

 

I haul tons of cars, LOL

That's a nice 11 car load on the Pete. Full strap unit ? How long did that take to load ? Obviously your comfortable with strapping a big load. Kudos.

 

BTW Cobra - How do you like the NextGen ? I used my first one last week. NextGen like your United tractor and a High Rack NextGen trailer. Was going pretty good until I realised that half of the straps were missing re-direct hooks and the other half of the straps were rotten. So that put a bad taste in my mouth right off the bat, but other then that, it was OK.
