.19 per mile on bounce miles as a company driver? need i say more? 1000 bounce miles a week?
-
when did this .19 per mile empty come along?? i thought all miles where paid fully loaded or empty. do you even work for them?
-
Actually its .20 a mile and it started several years ago. Some of the older drivers still get the regular pay loaded or unloaded. However it's not that serious a problem because these deadheads are not that long on average.
-
Week 1 2400 miles 1500 miles loaded 900 miles bounce
Week 2 3056 miles 1987 loaded 1069 bounce
Week 3 ( this week so far) 1748 loaded 511 bounce
My bounce miles usually average 30 to 40 % of total weekly miles
I have run several loads where I bounced over 600 miles
All they pay me is .19 for bounce per pay statement and .33 loaded
Don't get me wrong I enjoy working here althouh I don't think they should punish a driver for something we can't control. -
I would say on average I will bounce between 185 to 240 miles per load with average loaded miles between 440 to 560 miles
-
Are you guys regional or otr? Or does this affect both sides
-
OTR, Yes because the freight is a bit slow right now I have noticed my empty miles are up some. But once the freight gets moving again the runs will get longer.
