Can anyone tell me about Schneider's XM Satellite Radio ? The following is on their website. " SKYFi, available at Schneider National Company Stores for $200, lets you enjoy over 100 different channels of commercial-free music, sports, talk, news and entertainment " This must be one overly priced reciever or one that I can not find, because I have been to the SKYFi website and their is only 1 that that high ( their top is 224 ). Unless subscription comes with it, I don't need the top model. I 52 and all my life enjoyed music and never once owned the most exp. one of any product. Anyone got any info. ? Dumb question.....you all are filled with wise information.

Why not just go and buy XM from Walmart or Bestbuy that sends signal out through FM radio. They are reasonably priced. I bought my latest unit about 2 years ago.
-
Thats what i mean I dont understand why they would think that was a good deal unless there is more to it then reciever.

Buy for 39 dollars and away you go!!! I think its 13.99 a month now, I'm not sure, I paid a year in advance! Once you go Satelite, you wont go back.

Probably (if I am not mistaken) what you are seeing is the "SkyFi3" Plug-and-Play system that retails for about $179. It wouldn't be unusual for Schnieder to put a hefty mark-up on it, much like you would find in a truckstop.
You can get the XM-Roady II for about $49 at WallyWorld, subscription not included (about $14 a month). -
My last Sirius Streamer GT I bought was $60 plus tax.

Werks for me. Unless I have to work. If thats the case you better be ready to eat at 3:30 am. I roll out shortly after that.

I dunno about 5:30 am (eastern time). I need my beauty sleep.

I bought a SkyFi2 with a car kit and CD/boombox system for home. I got it at Circuit City(about a year ago) for $99 after rebates! It is a great XM receiver. It records up to 30 minutes, so you can pause, rewind, etc just like Tivo on your TV. Shop around and you should be able to find some good deals.
