Have someone turn the key while you tap on the starter with a hammer. If it starts turning over, you know the starter is about dead.

Just have someone give you a "tug" and get it started that way.

I wanna get some used spare parts like starter, compressor and injectors.

you can rebuild your bad starter and keep it in truck.

You can replace the brushes and solenoid. Usually what causes starters to go bad are bad connections on the inside jam nuts on both the solenoid and the jumper lug from the solenoid to the starter housing.

I remember when I shut my truck off and when I tried to start it nothing happened. I checked the battery cables and one of them was just a little loose. I initially thought it was the starter. And all it was only a loose cable. Sometimes we get lucky and it is something simple. I always check the simple things first.
