fire your DM and ask for another. As a Lease Op you should be able to do that.

I just dont understand,I am average intelligence at best..,but how many threads must one read, how many people does one have to talk to,and how many lawyers does it take to look at a lease before signing.[OK,one], but, when will folks learn, leasing is usually not the way to go?:biggrin_25513:

I lease a truck from Trans Am, 2012 KW t700, and I make money. Trans Am has the lowest lease pay for drivers (.84 cpm), but I still make money. I cannot take a lot of hometime, max 2 days, or I will go into the hole.

Talked to Celedon today, and their new lease purchase deal is not based on a monthly payment any more. Now its a flat .20 cpm. When you go for hometime, there's no lease payment at all for the days you are off. If you run 2000 mi in a week, your lp will be 2000 x .20. If you run 3000 it will be 3000 x .20. When you reach 500,000 mi., you can buy the truck for $5,000, which can also be financed by Celadon. Trucks are 2010 International Prostars.

500,000 miles at cpm is 100k. Holy crap plus the 5grand payoff on a used trk that probaly already has 300k to 500k miles already on it.WOW..
Plz correct me if I am wrong but holy sheet.

But on a side note, no one ever pays off a trk anyway, so I guess the (pay as u go) deal ain't as bad.

Shouldn't it be the more miles you run, the more profit you make? Why would you pay more payment just to get more miles? I don't get it.

Ok, let me try to explain.

Base pay is .90 cmp plus FSC.

Lease payment is a flat .20 cpm.

If you run 1000 miles in a week, your Gross is 1000 x .90 plus FSC. Let's say FSC is .40 cpm, so that would be .90 plus .40 which = 1.30 per mile.

    1000 x 1.30 = 1,300
    Less lease payment of 200 (1000 x .20 cmp)
    1100.

Then you have other costs such as fuel and sat, insurances etc.

    1000 / 6 = 167 gallons of fuel

    167 x 3.90 per gallon = 650
    1100 - 650 = 450

Take another 50 to 100 or so off for insurances, taxes, and sat fees and you have a about 300 to 350 left as profit. Which isn't too bad considering you can run 1000 miles in a day and a half.

The fuel in the above example does not include their fuel network discount, which means you won't pay the pump price but the rack price for the fuel.

But after we start bombing Iran and World War III starts, you can expect diesel to go to at least $15 per gallon anyway.

Which means that after the war is over, you won't have much need for diesel anyway, because:

"I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought with, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones." ~ Albert Einstein

Every 6500 years, there is some event which happens that dramatically reduces the world population.

Some believe that 6500 years ago, it was a great flood.
Some believe that 11000 years ago, it was a great ice age

But there's one thing for certain, if you are the last living person on the planet, the IRS will still be looking for you from their hidden base on the dark side of the moon.

I get the math part. Just wondering why you have to pay more to get more miles? Aren't most fleece purchases xxxxx dollars per week or month?

If on a set weekly payment, lets say $700/wk, and that week something happens and you only run 2k miles, you are still responsible for the $700 up front, plus the fuel. On the pay per mile rate, run 2k, and your payment is only $400 plus the fuel. More profit in your pocket. Their lease seem to be set up the same as RTI, (Riverside Transport). If on home time, their is no truck payment. $700/wk, on home time, you still have the payment.
