As a member I like the discounts they provide and the only activist portion I would be involved with when it comes to the federal regulations I am not interested in anything else if the company I choose to do buisness does me wrong I simply just move on if we work well together then I stay. Its just buisness.

I am choosing landstar for a number of factors not because of what ooida and landstars issues are. They were reccommended to me by several sources so I am choosing to go there. I just hope that being a member will not be held against me. I think its over insurance but I had already choose to take landstars but use ooida's ins temp to have the truck taken care of because its the cheapest short term so far I can get.

At one time Landstar would not accept OOIDA's insurance.

I'm not saying they aren't. Personally I could care less if you're an OOIDA member or not. I had just heard that. Landstar is a great place. My family has been here for many years.

That is it exactly, you need to be Self Motivated and Proactive to stay in business. That is just plain business 101. I am working on my Twic card, my passport and if i need i can special permit my truck for a load. You just never know.:biggrin_255:

Title and bill of sale should be all you need to get baseplates and send in the 2290, and the 2290 is still 550$
