Were these used in 07 pre-DPF trucks? Or was there a break during that year? I will check the serial number thank you.

Thanks to others for the continued responses. From what I have learned on here and talking to others the main issue with these is the turbos and their associated plumbing.

The turbos seem to have a lifespan of 500K-600K miles. One of my O/Os with an EPA 04' C-13 pulled his turbos to inspect them for shaft play as a precaution when he was doing some other work. Sure enough at 575K they were toast. At least he caught it before part of an impeller went through the motor. 2 turbos, a water pump, and $8200 bucks the problem is fixed.

they get that much for two turbos? Almost sounds cheaper to convert to one and tune them out or do they only do that for the C15?

That included replacing the water pump. But I thought about the same thing when the time comes (my dozen trucks w/ C-13s have between 200K and 250K) just converting to a single turbo. Possibly doing a PDI tune and DPF delete when the engine warranty expires in the next 6 moths or so. But they're so expensive because there is a lot of other components that have to be removed to get to everything.

I haven't priced them for my C13 but here what i paid for the set for my MXS C15 after an exhaust sleeve took them out.

    Top turbo $1492.45
    Bottom turbo $1959.47.

Seems the prices are all over the place so if anyone needs some I would do some price shopping.

I spend $1100 for a rebuild c-13 turbo with 1 year unlimited warranty
    And $280 for the labor

Okay those prices sound a little better.

I guess what I am asking more than anything is when compared to the c15 and isx of the same era, is the c13 any worse or better. I realize all 3 have their quirks.

    Thanks.

IMO I'd shop in this order
    1.C15
    2.C13
    3.ISX

Also depends on what your doing with it. If weight is an issue I'd go C13, but if your hauling heavy I'd go C15. ISX would be my last choice because they're turbo's have the same life span as the C13 but cost more than both turbos for a C15. Also if you decide to do modify it the C15 will respond better.
