I actually know someone really well when I used Watkins as my freight company when I was shipping a lot for my previous career.. I wonder if that would help? how's their equipment?

trucks are decent. FL's, volvos, KW's. 10spd's, paper logs. UNLIKE knight Watkins WILL fix ANYTHING you tell them needs to be fixed....knight will tell you to f off, take a look at a knight truck, they literally run there tires till they are bald wayyyy beyond illegal.

Not quite.... But it's been... rough....

Sticking it out....
Have not had time or net access to update as much as I'd like but will give a full account when I'm done both here and on my youtube channel.American-Trucker Thanks this. -
Departing this morning for a 2000 mile run from Vegas to Atlanta. Both excited and nervous.
Praying for a safe journey. -
Good Luck! hope it goes well

you still around deviltalk?
-
Still here. I should be done in the next week if not less and when it's over I will feel great.
I've been wrestling with a lot of emotions and the experience has been..... uncomfortable.... though progressive. The training process (in my exp.) has been a bit like boot camp/prison/marriage....
I will of course get into more detail when it's all said and done and I have had time to gather my thoughts comfortably and privately.
Rest assured, it's been a journey.....Boogers Thanks this. -
Interesting video...thanks
I hope you do more.
I can relate to your situation a bit, because I too am coming out of a divorce and seeking a new way of life.
I chose to sign on with Schneider...sitting in a hotel right now pending orientation tomarrow. Schneider like a good company, so far so good, they put me up in a nice hotel anyways.
I look forward to reading about your time with your trainer. I'm not looking forward to that part. I like being alone also, but I understand that it's valuable time I'll need to learn the ropes.
I just hope I get someone I can get along with.deviltalk Thanks this. -
I have yet to exp the training part of this and I actually dread it, however I don't think I would like to go straight to my own truck right out of school either. I hear though that training is like boot camp a lot but I guess if you keep you eye on the goal, all will be fine. Glad to hear your almost done, that's great!
