It won't change anything unless a court orders a change to be made, or implementation delayed.
In a different press release from the ATA they stated that the hours issue had very little effect on safety, but that speeding was involved in a lot of crashes, so they put a plug in for their hopes for mandatory speed limiters. (And of course ignoring the negative safety factor of split speed traffic flows.) Watch for them to try and make a deal by "giving" the government speed limiters for removing hours limits. -
Congressional sub- committee already told Graves (president of the Against Truckers Association) to give up on the speed limiters. " its not going to happen" .. I watched it on TV bout a year ago. That guy is an idiot.
