“We regret that FMCSA and the Obama administration have put ATA and its member companies in a position to take this legal action,” ATA president & CEO Gov. Bill Graves said in a statement.

You knew this had to be coming, but here it is officially:

Does that stall the start up dates?

It won't change anything unless a court orders a change to be made, or implementation delayed.

In a different press release from the ATA they stated that the hours issue had very little effect on safety, but that speeding was involved in a lot of crashes, so they put a plug in for their hopes for mandatory speed limiters. (And of course ignoring the negative safety factor of split speed traffic flows.) Watch for them to try and make a deal by "giving" the government speed limiters for removing hours limits.

Congressional sub- committee already told Graves (president of the Against Truckers Association) to give up on the speed limiters. " its not going to happen" .. I watched it on TV bout a year ago. That guy is an idiot.
