I have completed the TDA, passed my CDL, and start orientation with Schneider next week. I am nervous as all get out!!! This website has answered many of my questions and helped out bunches, as I have no one in my family that is a trucker. So thank you "The Truckers Report" for helping me get started and putting my mind at ease a little. :biggrin_25525:

Nervous is normal for the first time doing just about anything. Schneider will expect this. Take things really slow. The last thing you wanna do is trip all over yourself rushing things.

You'll do fine..From one female to another,I was as nervous as a cat when I first started and was nervous for nothing.A few times driving you'll be more relaxed.

Thanks everyone:biggrin_25519: I do tend to be my own worst critic. Hopefully I won't trip myself up but I've been known to do that occasionally too. I just hope for the best as I really need this. I've been unemployed for 8 mos now and it's killing me! The one good thing about having been laid off is that I finally get to drive a truck! I've been wanting to do it for years but couldn't afford the school and take care of my bills all by myself. Now I get to do what I like to do (drive) and probably make a heck-of-a lot more doing it! WOOOOHOOOOO

    Welcome!

Schneider has good instructors, listen, take it slow and ask any questions you might have and you'll be just fine.

    :)
