Wondering if there are any winn Dixie truck drivers on here I work at a winn dixie and was thinking about using the option of using them to get my cdl and driving for the company I'm wondering how's the pay how long would the waiting list be those type things any info would really be appreciated

Thanks for tha info I looked n 2 it further and seems tht if you already work at a warehouse they would train u 2 drive for them and anybody nt already employed by winn dixie needs experience

If the rumors were true back in the mid 80's Publix paid $40K+ a year.

My old man drove for winndixie out of the raleigh terminal from 77-02. Says its the best job hes ever had and will ever have (drives for walmart now). I believe when he left in 02 the pay was somewhere north of the $17 an hour range. Unfortunately they arent around in this neck of the woods anymore

I remember seeing them governed to 52-55mph, no A/C and "tachographs" On the dash.

Yep that was them, with the old gmc trucks. Getting paid by the hour is a beautiful thing. When they got those 1st batch of volvos in the early-mid 90s they thought they were in heaven
