Recently there have been several articles regarding the jamming of GPS signals and the system's vulnerability to solar flares. The GPS system is also vulnerable to electro-magnetic pulse destruction by a rogue state or terrorists and to interference from other transmissions such as those proposed by LightSquared.

Markbullhaulerswife and Dieselboss Thank this. -
Some how I was hoping you would see this and answer.
Interesting subject.

You know I live on TTR....LOL... yes it was.. I have been following this along with a lot of GPS companies.
Markbullhaulerswife Thanks this. -
Yes.
On infrequent, but definitely recurring, occasions I have seen GPS signals affected by:
Solar events
Military tests
Nasa Tests
Satellite outages/malfunctions in orbit
RF interference
CB transmissions (especially on very high wattage CB's)
Cell towers and cell phones
Power lines
Metal sun visors over the windshield
Power harnesses in the dash of the truck
Inverters
Weather phenomena
Yes, anything electronic is susceptible to interference and especially anything that TRANSMITS or RECEIVES through the air can be interfered with (intentionally and unintentionally.) -
Also those FM modulators that transmit to your truck radio.
