I suppose I could make up a past employment verification form with the pertinent questions asked, and send it to them to find out.

I had a buddy fail for weed. He found out a few months later it caused his license to be suspended. Drug tests are a requirement for your CDL to be legal, not necessarily by just your employer You need to check your DMV report. It might be on there.
By the way he got popped because his company had a hidden mike in his truck that he didn't know about. They heard him talking about what he did on his home time and immediately sent him for a drug test.Scruffy Thanks this. -
Well I guess my question is......Do you have a valid CDL now and are you qualified to drive? If you are not qualified what do you have to do to get (re)qualified? You might not think you need counseling but maybe DOT does, and since they are the once that say weather you can drive or not, you might have to bow to them. No offense but just because an officer (or two) pulled you over and treated you okay don't mean squat. Are you eligible to drive or not?
Scruffy Thanks this. -
If this is true...

... then, yes, because my CDL has never been suspended.

Hey wolfy7203, can you say what company that was that your friend worked for? Other drivers may want to know, so they can avoid them. The company may have broken a few laws for having microphones in a truck without telling the drivers about it.

I will say that it is one of the big training companies that has it's own school, and they are based in Texas. That would give 2 possibilities I believe. The way it happened gave us no doubt that there was no other way that this could have gone down other then some sort of recording device in the truck, be it audio or video. He was guilty, without a doubt. But they left him clear across the country with all his stuff and no way home.

WTF ????
Are there really that many people out there sharing this same story? What's this one? Number 6 in the past 4 months ???
Maybe some these guys need to start thinking with the big head, instead of the little one. And they won't be having all these issues. -
Well if you are referring to my story, I have never told it on here before, and it just so happens the guy in the story is my best friend, so I was heavily involved in the story personally and know it to be true. Where there may be others who knew him from working at this company with him. I can personally attest that my story is factual.

I never implied it wasn't.
But your friend and several others, have issues larger than a failed drug test.....obviously. -
I would have called the US Marshalls right then
