Hello! I have just started with SRT...The orientation was brutal, the waiting a pain, and the training a little rushed. But, it reminds me that most(all) big companies are the same mostly. IT IS WHAT EACH INDIVIDUAL MAKES IT. Its about attitude and patience. They are putting virtual strangers into tens of thousands of dollars of equipment and no telling how much $$$$ in freight, and trusting "us" to be a good representative. This is a JOB. A lifestyle...not for everyone. Just be patient, do your best, ask questions and act grown. It doesn't happen overnite...don't know why people expect it too.
These companies are trying, on the most part, to comply with the ever increasing maelstrom that is government regulations. The LAW. They would love to be back in the bootlegger "hair on fire", Smokey and the bandit days...but alas, they cannot. We don't have to like it, but we have to abide by it....for now. Because one day, we'll all say, "Enough"...and then lose our jobs to Mexican, Afrikkans, Russian and Sihk drivers. Who knows what its like to be truly oppressed. We are a bunch of spoiled Americans who want everything now. Who have forgotten our ancestors hard work and travails that made this country great. Remember. Be grateful what we have, deal with the present, and vote! Thx

I currently drive for SRT and they are running around 1000 trucks now. As far as the 240 hrs of training with another student is not true. Even if you have just a few months under your belt, you will just get the 100 ye training with another driver..not a student. I've been there for a few months now and bringing home between $900 and $1100 a week.

they have 1000 trucks, and are adding 300 more in the near future. they are still ##########. but hosh in night dispatch also justin and buck in breakdown are cool. but they have plenty of ########## in dispatch. i've got a bucket of war stories here, but i will not go into it until asked.

Josh Friday is the reason I switched from Regional to OTR..I was only running about 800 miles a week :\
Got a way better dispatcher and running more miles now. My Qualcomm was out for 3 weeks, and Josh wouldn't bring me back to the yard to have it fixed. I was "ghosting" around a tri-state area and SRT would
call me every two hours wanting to know my location. Finally a guy named Macho in Safety told me to just come back to the yard and I was 100 miles from Texarkana lol. Long story short..I switched to OTR :)
