that sucks the lw kws are nice seems they would of researched that before ordering and putting ppl in the truck then saying "hey..move out these arent going to work for us"
-
yeah getn2it we all make mistakes ive made my share but what matters is you learn from them and move on
-
The APUs we've had for a number of years were never part of the original plan for the lw KWs.
Gameplan was for them to Opti idle while they researched smaller diesel APU options or battery style APUs.
I saw the Kohler APU on at least one lw early on. Haven't ever seen one of those on a condo ever, or on another lw since. -
Well I guess that means they couldn't find anything that they were comfortable with oh well goodbye kw
-
I think its more a case of the guy who came up with the APU spec for the lw trucks is IMO a moron. Looks like he bombed on the axles on the 100xxx trailers too.
-
Have they decided to do away with the super singles on trailers? Noticed the 120s are all duals. That would be a shame, methinks.

Did you get a full size right out of the blocks ORD? I heard after you get your CDL, and the job offer, they send you out into the yard to 'pick your truck'; is that true?
Also I do understand from my recruiter who I talked to for the 1st time today that even though I am just west of Boston (hometown) that I am , and will be considered 48 states & Canada, though might now see west of the Missisippi unless the workload dictates that.
I wouldent mind a LW truck, I guess (says the greenhorn, who has yet to put a truck into 1st gear) the .05cpm savings adds up as well I am sure, but a condo would be sweet to live in too, if that is gonna be my sanctuary for a majority of time.
So far on my shopping list I have:
Usual toiletries, CB radio, Tire Chains, jar of vasoline
, TP and hipwaders for the BS, and a positive attitude! lol
anything I missed? -
i was told they went back to duals bc the singles wouldnt work on the rail cars....
carabello as far as the truck goes flatbed usually get full sized trucks seen a few lw but i dont know the deal on that and no one is talking most company reefers i know are getting lw and thats all i seen on the yard yesterday leasing assigns you a truck if you go company usually no picking anything outemton Thanks this. -
I was thinking along those lines because they did that with the "PRIZ" trailers which are "dedicated" to rail, and the 120s have the satellite controlled reefer units. However, the 120s do not have the enlarged (100 gal?) fuel tank which you need for slow, train travel, and are not designated "PRIZ" which, I believe Sazook noted, is the rail designator.
