It's been 45-50 mph winds all the way across Wyoming, to my seemingly good luck, it was most out of the west, so not bad, till a 20 mile stretch that was from elk mountain mm 265 or so to 286 mm.
5 trucks blown over on west bound side.
I was grossing 78k, so wasn't so much worried of blow over, just backed way out of it.
But the road turned to ice because of the blowing snow.
Of course nobody talks on cb anymore, mine is always on.
Rolled upon that with no warning. Roads were dry till that point.
    Thankful traffic was light.
Just aimed it straight, looked in my mirrors, could read name on side of trailer on left, and no trailer in mirror on right.
Decided not to look in mirror no more, lol.
My saving grace was I wasn't driving over what conditions were, and took immediate action by slowing down more, and announcing on cb that things were turning to crapola.

I have a little 5 pound trained killer attack dog.
She tried to walk on the ice with 45 mph wind, and it was just blowing her across the lot.
She was having a tough time squatting into the wind and staying upright too.

New tires are wonderful! Thanks and hats off to Joplin & Laredo shops, and Road Service, I got 6 new Goodyears not long ago.
And have been very thankful for them.
If I'd been on worn out Michelins I had, there would have been a few times I might have had issues.
But new tires, and twin screws helped.
Will never be a full fan of super singles, especially of the slicks they put on the trailers, nor a fan of tag axles.
One or a combination of any can put the driver in a bad.spot.

Hell Mustang sounds like you were fighting the wind Otter was and I was night before last. I had 36 in the van driving south on US-93 and I was still getting blown into the oncoming lane.

when I parked yesterday it took a little while to go to sleep, but when I finally did I slept a solid 14 hour block. Now I am hoping I can go down to the strip today instead, I don't want to gamble much, but I am a tourist when I have the time to be.

He wouldn't do it...(think we just passed you in New Mexico...) in order to do it right he would have to unbuckle his seat belt , drop trowser....while I held the wheel from the pass seat and he took video on his IPhone ...with the winds picking up to 30 mpg + I'm sure we would be breaking a few DOT laws as well as some company rules....oh well maybe next time you will be going the dame direction as us (that would be a easier moon!)

The timing is right I have been parked at the Moriarty, NM TA for about 2 hours. I gave a shout out to a few Freightliners, you guys are in a Freightliner right? I did not try real hard though just in case vmaggs followed through. That wind was fun with only 9300lbs on board.

I am going to make the run to Lancaster tomorrow and squeeze in a 34 before Sundays delivery.

    Stay safe
