Sitting at the terminal in PA waiting for laundry. After a much needed shower I feel like a new man. Got to meet my recruiter and FM. Got a leaking airhose replaced.
Drove from somewhere in Iowa. Got in about 350 miles. Dropped our load near the terminal and our pre plan going to CA is already ready!
At this rate I should see my upgrade to B seat soon. -
Good job! Keep it goin garciamag

Its been an interesting week. We just left Cheyenne WY. Got some go juice for the truck and back on the road. We've been nursing a bad clutch since we left PA. Driving on the Hwy isn't too since float the gears pretty well but weigh stations and toll booths are tough when you have to go into low gear with no clutch.
All in all things are still going well. Learning more than just the driving as well. Lots of paperwork in addition to the Qualcomm stuff.
Some highlights from week 1:
Drove 2346 miles. I also get credit for my trainers miles towards my upgrade. Between the miles I drove and his that 10000 mark is getting closer all the time.
Drove through 10 different states including 4 I had never been to before.
Watched sunrises in 3 different states.
Drove the Appalachian's (in the dark and fog!) for the first time.
Drove through 4 states in 1 day.
Met some great drivers so far and looking to meet more.
Turns out another poster here is running for the same O/O I am. Hint JD Souza,
But probably most importantly, I learned how to dress and sleep while in a 35 ton rocket doing 290400 feet per hour down the highway! -

Fleet manager or your dispatcher. The difference between a c seat and b seat it just experience. The miles I indicated above are miles I have actually driven. As a c seat coming in I had a CDL but no experience. A b would have 6 months or less.

That sounds like a great first week, Garciamag! I didn't know you get credit for your trainer's miles as well. Good luck with that clutch.
I forgot you had your CDL already and were in the "TNT" part of the program. You'll have your truck in no time.garciamag Thanks this.
