I went through the training program and finished in the top of my class and then got fired. Don't get me wrong, wish i was still there.they are a great company, ernie and my coach ricky greatly improved my ability to operate safely on the road and i can now 90 in-between two tractor trailers with no pull ups on a consistent basis.this company will give you the tools you need to succeed if you follow them.but make sure you read what you sign and follow company rules or you are gone.i signed stuff and did not read or follow it and was fired 15 min after testing out.it is just a shame that another company will gain from what i leaned from ta !!!

I'm kinda lost, there's tons of little things that they can fire you for, but they are clearly spelled out(or at least they were when I was there).

    Cmon now, How'd it happen?

I know you can not drink 8 hrs before going on duty and i do not.i value my cdl and would never put peoples lives in jeopardy.but evidently i signed a agreement i would not drink the whole 8 weeks of training and testing out.during the week of test out i had a draft beer with my supper.i knew i would not be driving for a few days and only had one.when i finished testing out on friday, about 15 min later i was called in a office and was ask if i had had a beer with my supper earlier that week.i told the truth.they said they were sorry but they had to follow policy.i guess one of the men that failed told them, not sure who.i have no hard feelings.just don't want anouther to make the same mistake,i needed that job

I was stuck in Olathe over the weekend before I tested out, and honestly, that chunk of policy was quite annoying. But, I guess I can understand why it's there. Also, when I was there, they emphasized it quite a bit.

And from what the hotel staff told me at both the Holiday Inn, and the Days Inn, any of the hotel staff is required to report any alcohol consumption by TransAm Employees. I even heard of some one getting fired because they were drinking at the Applebee's in a table near a TransAm office employee.

Thats why you don't get beer where it can be seen, and if drinking at the motel, make sure you put the evidence in the hallway trashcans. Just sayin

Ok I have been with TA for 3 months now and im a leas driver I drive a brand new t700 and make about a grand a week and have great runs. I cant see how so many people cant make money with this company. the company has never lied to me and have been stright up with me every step of the way. I got to pick out the my truck right down to the color. There are so many ways to make money and the drivers that are going to drive for them right out o school need to know this is over the road. and that means you not going home alot. the more home time you take the less money you make.

IF any one wants to know how to make money with TRANS AM let me know
