If you know what the problems are and write them down on your inspection sheet the JCT Shop decides whether to fix it or not. As for the engine etc... it is hard to find those problem up front when you don't get to test drive the truck. They think the drive to the motel is plenty of time to find all the problems.
Depends on what the problems are and if they hinder you from doing your job of delivering loads.

Everything leads to one thing from what I've been told and read.. JCT's shop sucks!:biggrin_2554:

So now I wonder, do you have to take a used truck (if that's what's left) or is it possible to wait for a new truck to come in?

You get a choice from trucks in yard and more than likely they will all be used. Once in a truck your stuck with it for 90 days and can't be more then 5k in the hole on your maintenance fund to go back to the yard and get into another truck.

Is being in the hole a regular thing, since they actually bothered to put a limit on it? Just wondering.

If I was 5k in the hole in any aspect after just 90 days, I'd find another gig. Not being rude at all, just read that and got a "bitter beer face"

It can happen if your maintenace fund is low and something exspensive breaks. It's kind of a luck of the draw on the truck situation in getting a good one.
