I'll wear mine if I'm actually on the phone. I mean why should I hang up a phone call with my girlfriend because I'm getting coffee? Frees up both hands, don't have to end calls because I need to carry things or fuel the truck.

I think they look like idiots as well. I call them "truckstop queens" with their tiara's on walking around with the boom up over their head. You know they are not on the phone, just trying to look like "cool truckers"
Actually, they look like idiotic morons.

BTW: I have a plantronics M20, little ear bud thing that works better than that blue parrot crap. Gay s.h.i.t. --- I am just in a bad mood:biggrin_25513:

I like handsfree headsets IF they work in trucks. All the dumps I drove were LOUD in the cab...so there was so much background noise, even the noise cancelling ones were iffy. Then the speaker had to be LOUD for me to hear over everything...can we say "hearing damage"?
As far as looking like a goober or like I'm wearing a tiara...I wear what works, and if I forget to take it off "in public" (oh, for SHAME, right?) I see it as a testament to a product that works AND is comfortable enough for me to forget I'm wearing it.
'course right now, I have no functional handsfree wireless headset. :biggrin_2553:
