You approve payment OR your account is automatically debited to pay the account. If you don't pay attention to this card don't you look at you bank statement? Either way why are they the bad guys? You signed up for a free trial and you gave them your credit card info. They have billed your credit card for 14 months which you have willingly paid and all of a sudden you realize your mistake and you cry foul.

Look in the mirror>there's the problem.

they ALL charge your credit card if you don't cancell within the free trial period.,

they ALL require a credit card before even allowing you to sign up for a free trial.

if you can't think to look at your bills or remember to cancell before the free triral is up. that's YOUR fault. not theres.

i sign up for something every now and then. that's doesn't have anyway to call. or is very hard to call. i have a seconday checking account just for those things. it has no overdraft protection. therefore, i sign up. if i don't like it. i put no money in the bank. they can't charge, therefore the account gets deactivated. don't have to worry about calling or other bs that tends to make getting in touch impossible just so i can cancell.
