And you would be the first one complaining if something were to happen and no one did anything to stop it.

First off thank you for your service to your country. I have numerous co-workers overseas now on activations and see first hand how hard that is o their families here. My best friend just got back 2 weeks ago after 10 months.

Second, it's just not that day captain. Pay attention to the news. I'm not going into details but if you watch the news you have seen what has been going on for the last few years. Look at individuals like the shoe bomber and the Times Square bomb that didn't detonate. This is not a dream and all will be better when you wake up. If people do not stay viligent what do you think will be the result? That day changed the way I do business on the side of the road. Lord only knows what I will contact everyday. I don't want to stop someone and ignore signs or clues that something is not exactly right with this fella and let him continue on. God forbid something happen and I would have that on my conscious the rest of my life.

The video only makes one refence to the Oklahoma bombing, the post you are referring was my response to someone's post about the video being about terrorist truckers. The video does not portray what that poster's interpretation was. It was targeted towards regular road patrol officers with no CMV experience and encouraging them to do their job of enforcing the laws of the to all vehicles regardless of size.

We have to have mass casualty training each year. Sometimes more than once. I assure you that the terrorists we are concerned about are not from the middle east. We have plenty in our own country.

The fact of the matter is you have no idea. I saw a 70 something man and women locked up on the side of the interstate smuggling dope the other day in a passenger car. Years ago before I started doing what I do, who what have thought "Mom mom and Pop pop" were smuggling large amounts of dope.

I can answer that question. The most effective weapon used by terrorists is terror.

The most effective way to bring the heat down upon the citizens of the United States is to exploit the prison like mind set of the Justice Department. The problem I have with it is that the United States is not a prison and we the people are not prisoners. One can expect a complete lock down of a correctional facility subsequent to a guard being attacked but to lock down an entire nation for more than a decade as though we are living in a prison is crazy, unpatriotic and unconstitutional.

The terrorists exploited the weakness of the Justice Department and now the Justice Department is exploiting the weakness of we the people.

Our problem is not with we the people of the United States. Our problem is with the crazy whack jobs of the Middle East. Attacking victims is a cowards way of solving the problem.

The fight is in the Middle East and we showed up with our hands tied behind our backs being pushed forward by a group of scumbag cowardly bureaucrats. This could have been put to bed real quick if we had a president brave enough to put his boot in their arse.

Now we and generations to come will be forced to prove that we are not the enemy.

I don’t like it one bit.

For one thing, trying to tie truckers into terrorist bombing is stupid. OKC was pulled off with a U-haul, not a big truck. Same with the 93 WTC bombing, and the 01 bombing obviously had nothing to do with trucks. Unless you're trying to put forward a whole new conspiracy involving flying trucks. Good luck with that one.

Secondly, a warning ticket is normally no problem, but now that they've turned all warnings into the same as tickets as far as points, you're not writing me a warning. All that did was guarantee that I will do whatever is necessary to turn that indefensible warning into a ticket that I can fight. Writing me a warning now is not letting me off easy. It's taking away my right to a fair trial.

    Kajidono,

I know we have agreed on somethings and we have disagreed on some things over the years. What is the definition of a CMV? 10,001 lbs or more power unit or combination weight. Also regardless of weight if it is carrying a placarded amount of hazmat, or if it meets the criteria for passenger vehicle for compensation.

Can a U-haul, Ryder truck, Enterprise rental truck be a CMV? Sure can, they are rented or leased evryday by carriers. Home delivery type companies use these everyday. Can they also be personal? Sure can. If it's less than a 30 day rental for a carrier, do they have to put their name and USDOT number on the sides? NO. Has to be listed on the rental agreement. If over 30 days, then they put it on the sides like every other truck. About half of the rental trucks I stop, end up being a personal move. Before talking with the operator I have no idea.

Did you actually watch the entire video? Or are you reading other anti-government posts? There is only one mention of anything about a terrorist, period. That was the Oklahoma City bombing.

If it's a regular patrol officer that stops you that is not a certified inspector, no inspection report is generated. Thus no one at FMCSA has any paper trail to do anything with CSA. Again you rant without watching the video

And finially, you give me a different perspective. I think from now on, instead of writing a guy a warning for the 10 violations he has, I will write 10 tickets to him. That was he can come to court and argue with the judge about why his tire was bad, he was speeding. His log was behind. His headlight, ID light and side marker light did not work. ETC....ETC.....ETC......

Bet that guy will be happy from now on. No matter where he is from to have to come back to court or hire an attorney. Thankfully I am still not going to do that. I still conduct my business the way I always have. If it meets my ticket criteria, then it's a ticket. If it meets my warning criteria, then it's a warning. I can't help the way the carrier is tracked. For years, some "steering wheel holders", could care less what they drove, how long they drove etc. I don't make the rules I just enforce what the rules are, period. We have already been over this as well.

I saw this thread an hour after it was started. I watched the whole vid and it basicaly pissed me off, so I stayed out. Dieslebear, I've little doubt you do a fine job out there, but my big picture perspective to Annes video is that the message is comming from a corupt and very dishonest administration. FEDZILLA is eating their own, and the appitite still grows.

If only you could've have pulled over the community organizer back in his coke using days. You would have likely scored the motherload and he'd be behind bars instead of the white house.

I hope you enjoy your kool-aid dieselbear,

Because being stripped of my rights and being labelled a terror suspect for being a vet really doesn't sit well with me. Being labelled a terrorist for being a gun instructor doesn't either.

And calling my local park board for having regulation in violation of state laws and being labelled a terrorist isn't right either.

DHS and the patriot act and the excuses people use to justify videos such as this are effectively NOW the tools of terroists. In the most fundamental of ways.

Before you respond, think really hard back to you constitutional law class. Think or even research strategy and fundamental process of terrorists.

Then think of WHEN the last US plain highjacked before 1991:

Has an actual CMV been used here in this country to commit an act of terrorism? No. I'll answer that since you avoided it.

I didn't watch any of the video. I replied directly to statements made in this thread. I didn't even quote you and you knew exactly what I was referring to.

Government videos are 90% bull #### that no normal, sane person cares about. I've seen enough of them. They all lean the same way.

I don't care how you handle everyone else. If you try to write me a warning that hits me with points under this stupid new system, for which I have no legal defense, for which my legal rights have been stripped away, then it will get progressively uglier until you do write me a ticket instead. Or a whole stack, or haul me off to jail. I don't care. At least I'll have those rights that I otherwise would not have.

That went over really well at Nuremberg. You might want to keep that in mind.
