I wonder how many other people share my very negative experiences @ schneider?
I quit trucking in the 90's but went back & got my CDL last year to run team with my husband. He was already @ Schneider.
They have had us kill more time, broken nearly all thier promises, and put us in such a financial bind we are close to loosing our house!
When we went over our DBL's head and complained we werent getting the miles, we were told " Maybe Schneider is not the right company for you".
since then we split up as a team. He is now running Dedicated with a buddy (dedicated do get the miles). I went solo regional. The 1st week out, the truck was such an old junker, I sprained my leg on the clutch!!! (mind you I have already been driving for months and been in and out of several trucks w/o problem) Now my workmens comp is being denied because Schneiders insurance is saying I hurt my back, not my leg. I had to go to my own Dr for a release now I'm sitting home waiting to go back to work. I even complained to the CEO over dry van, but he hasn't bothered to return my call.
    Sound familiar?

I never EVER had a problem with Schneider...I wasn't a company driver though, I was on the choice program...I will admit, some of their company trucks leave ALOT to be desired.

There was always freight, always paid on time...Never had a problem with anyone or anything at SNI.

I went back after ten years. They started their new Workflow crap. I sat four days total. Two in Clarksville, two in Houston terminal. I wont live in a truck for 1000 miles in 7 days. I moved on.

That Workflow crap must have come around right after I left...I heard people talking about it, how great it is/or it's gonna be..

I see alot of people complaining about it on TTR though.

In certain situations workflow doesn't perform. Your events on the computer have to be precise. If not, you spend hours upon hours trying to get them on the phone to fix it. That so called DBL I had was always unavailable. So I made myself unavailable.

I left SNI in 2008 after getting short miles for several months. Not surprising now, when we consider the state of the economy then. To SNI's credit, my DBL and load planner would send me home on occasion prior to my scheduled home time if no loads. This happened 3-4 times that I recall and they would work me back home and then I would take off a few. I sat a lot my last six months with them. All the sitting and the subpar equipment took it's toll. Liked SNI on the whole. The key back then was to communicate with your DBL and load planner. There's a few bad apples with the company, but not many when you consider it's size.

I ran dedicated in the year i was there Longest I sat to pick up a back haul was 26 hrs that happen only twice otherwise I was preplanned. only had 2 truck the first was an 07 Int 700k it was not pretty but not beat up either just well used. Clutch dropped out of it in the fuel Island at the Indy O.C. SNI junked it. 2nd Truck was an 09 FL 300k Black looked great got it from another guy on are account who got it new. While it looked nicer and drove nicer down the road the old Int could have ran circles around going up hill. Did my last run with SNI under the new work flow system I felt it was a joke SNI screwed the pooch on that one by putting it out when they did.

I Just left Schneider. I was there for years. I'd say SNI is a little better than the average company, but still SNI needs some improvement.

There's lots of good people at Schneider, and there's a few jerks, but what do you expect from such a big company? I'm sure some guys get screwed over from time to time.

Whenever I call someone at SNI on the phone they are typically respectful and professional. Hell, even support shift at least has manners. I cannot say the same for the Worker's Comp line.
Isn't it company policy to report every injury, no matter how small?

I've never had a Worker's Comp claim, but every time I reported injury, no matter how small, I detected a bad attitude!
