Driver no one labeled you a terrorist, no one in the video did either. One of the post talked about McVeigh. Here's the post that got it rolling:

By the way I don't like kool-aid. I'm done argueing with everyone, because it's going in the direction of politics. I don't do politics, can't stand them and everyone has an opinion. In my post I was giving my opinion of why the McVeigh incident was mentioned in that video.

Kajidono, the point I made about incidents that occur overseas eventually come here. The point is look at history.

I'm not getting into a pizzing contest about ideology, it will just give me a headache. Folks were criticizing that video and I was giving how I interpreted the video. I still know what I did as a regular road patrol officer, I did not want to stop a loud, noisy dirty truck. I, from growing up around trucks, knew the logs and manifest and medical card. But I didn't want to deal with trying to stop a vehicle that big and get it on the shoulder and back out in traffic back then. The folks I worked with were the same way. I get regular road guys still today that say the same thing and call me to assist them. That was what my initial post was about and how I saw the video. It was not targeting truckers to write them tickets etc. It was explaining to them to enforce the law as you would any other vehicle on the road.

They get what the earn for the most part.

You might run into a bad officer every once in a while, but life goes on.

    Seriously?

    http://www.youtube.com/embed/_FixBaPxUFs

Our government is creating the atmosphere that results in Patriot Act, HazMat enrollment, TWIC, Border Card.

How much more before we simply state, ENOUGH!!!!!!!!

Step on my truck with the attitude that I am guilty until proven innocent and you will get attitude right back.

Now you pull another video from you tube and want to discuss that? Did you even watch the video from the OP? I'm sorry you feel everyone is out to get you. I have no idea where you got that from OP video. The only attitude I'm sensing is your's of hate and discontent. How about you search some Barney video's on you tube, maybe that will lower your blood pressure a tad before your blow a gasket.

the ratio for nutty cops and nutty truckdrivers will be the same.

now honestly, could you imagine pulling over some of the loudmouths.

i wonder how many have actually told dieselbear they were calling the federal marshalls, lol

every job has its knuckleheads. frankly in the last few years trucking seems to have more than its share.

2 weeks ago i got a random near ironton, oh on us52, the guy works out of jackson, oh office. he was professional , courteous and in no way out to get me. checked me over , no violations and after the inspections i was on my way, after we talked for a while. nice guy actually. i told him after how i appreciated the way he conducted the inspection and he in turn told he appreciated the way i conducted myself, having everything neat organized and readily available. we shook hands and both went on our way. hat off to trooper anderson of the ohio highway patrol

I can think of at least 3 or 4. Had some tell me against the constitution to give me their log book. One old timer training a newbie had him tell me this one day and he wouldn't give up his log book. I had no idea and either did the newbie. As I walked to my car the old timer yelled to me and the newbie was scared to death. We all had a good laugh and the newbie had his book and believed the old timer. Old timer thought I would play into his game, and when I didn't play he said "Sheet, let me talk to him and tell him I was playing a game with the newbie."

It's paranoia created at the highest levels. Your department hierarchic has created the fear that the terrorists had hope you would. Everyone is a suspect now.

Over reacting aren't we? I watched and read the whole thread. I dont know DB but what I saw was someone posted about the oklahoma bombing. Someone thought they were tageting trucks as a terrorist deal. From all the post, Db made that comment on the terrorist comment. It seems to me you are twisting words to suit yourself and your agenda. Just my .02

I went back and looked at the first couple DB comments about regular cops not knowing what to do with a big rig if they stoppedit. Then some anti goverment kool aid drinkers want to go off on a tangent. :biggrin_2554:

Dieselbears statement in the quote, not mine. Taken exactly how he has written it.
