YES !! I got hired with Key Energy with no driving experience. I'm learning to operate a kill truck, but if you want to spend most of your time driving they do a ton of vacuum truck work to. As a newbie you'll probably find more opportunities in West Texas, but there are a few in the South as well.

Thanks for the info on the job fairs Rockdoctor!
I took a look at the one in San Antonio at the Alamo Career Center but it has already passed the 23rd I think and it was just for Veterans only but I am sure it was a good one to attend.
Would love to make it to a Weatherford or Baker Hughes job fair but have not found any posted for the upcoming months. I attended one in Laredo back in Jan. but it was before I had my CDL and there were over 6K people there. Most companies were just taking apps not doing much hiring or interviewing on the spot, it was too chaotic.
Has anyone ever attended a Target Job Fair? Just wondering if they actually conduct interviews on the spot or if its just taking apps.
Thanks again for the info! -
here is Goldspur's website:
http://www.goldspur.com/employment.html
Who is currently hiring driver's in the North Texas area? Id prefer to be around the Denton/Decatur area but will go West or Southwest of Fort Worth if needed.
Someone mentioned Goldspur, but they are a bit too far north for me as they are up around Bowie, Tx and Nocona, Tx. -
Go up 287 . On N side of Decatur Nabors and Stallion have yards right on the road. Both normally have signs out looking for drivers. Excaliber also was looking. Lot of companies in Bridgeport as well.HeWhoMustNotBeNamed Thanks this.

What decent companies are bringing on Owner Operators right now for the Texas / Oklahoma oil field type work?
What areas of Texas / Oklahoma are paying better to the truck?
4 years worth of experience clean cdl, TWIC card, Hazmat, Tanker endorsement.
Any leads would be greatly appreciated. Just looking at a few other options than the OTR gig I'm doing now. Also moving back to a warmer climate!
Thanks - Todd
