    Diffrent augument ......

    I can use a ARC-13 and a BC-348 military radio to talk on the ham bands ... EVEN though THEY are legal to do that with that doesn't make them HAM radios only USE at one .....

    you can use a FT-950 on CB it still is not a CB radio .... only used as a illegal one ......

    Fact is there is no such thing as a " 10 meter CB radio " only illegal radios used on CB ......

    Well let me lay it out for you so you wont have problem understanding. I and many others have wasted a lot money over the years testing the so called latest and greatest things to come out.

    Predator,Browning,Wilson,Stryker,Monkey Made and the 102 steel whip antennas,just to name a few of the more well known antennas on the market. The 102 whip and 10K were always on top in received signal strength from 25 miles away as well as transmitted signal to the receiving station from the same distance - JUST BECAUSE IT LOOKS THE SAME does not automatically mean it's going work as same. Take it for what you will but i would not put much stock into what you find on Sparkies website and i will tell you why.

    Want to know why a lot of CB shops dont push these (10K) antennas.....do you really want to know why? It's because they cant buy a 10K at dealer cost as cheaply as they can those other cheap copies of the 10K. So there for they cant make as much money off of a 10K as they can on say a Monkey Made. Watch the videos of the CB radios shootouts on YT, 9 out of 10 times it's a 10K.....most of the big boys you hear on the super bowl using a mobile setup..... use 10K's. Most of the truckers you hear really walking tall on ch 19....use 10K's.

    In closing...I and many others have used/tried them all but if you want to find out the hard way then by all means,be my guest. If you would rather take the word of someone who will tell you anything to make a buck versus someone who has spent that buck and knows first hand then do what ever you want. It's people like you who keep CB shops in business,people who refuse to listen to experience!

    I am done.:biggrin_25513::biggrin_25513::biggrin_25513::biggrin_25513:

    Technically I can't argue with you. But if I'm using it on the CB freqs, as a CB, then it's a CB as far as I, and many others, are concerned. It may not be technically correct to call it that, but it is a common slang term, if you will, for it. Correcting us here every time will not change that......in fact you might just see/hear it more!!!!:biggrin_25525:
    Have a great day Bruce, I gotta go do some yard work!
